Filming for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 started on February 28, 2025. The show is being directed by Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Meera Menon, Clark Johnson, and Logan Coles, using the working title Out the Kitchen 2. Hillary Fyfe Spera is back as the cinematographer from Season 1, along with Jeffrey Waldron, who’s working on some of the new episodes.

In late March, scenes were shot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, at the set of Josie’s Bar, where Charlie Cox was seen wearing his black Daredevil suit in surfaced set leaks. In early April, actor Wilson Bethel was spotted filming in Chelsea. By mid-May, the filming was halfway done, and it’s expected to wrap up in July.

The latest set video confirms that filming is still underway. In one of the recent leaks, Charlie Cox and Deborah Ann Woll are seen relaxing on set, further confirming that Woll will return to reprise her role.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is in the heart of production right now, and a new image from behind the scenes teases the return of an important Season 1 character. Born Again Season 1 saw the live-action MCU debut of Hector Ayala (Kamar de los Reyes), otherwise known as White Tiger. The vigilante finds himself in hot water after saving a civilian results in the death of a police officer, but Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) comes to his defense. Ayala is ultimately killed, and it’s teased that his niece Angela (Camila Rodriguez) will take over the mantle. The new set image posted on X by @RayyanTCG shows Angela in the streets of Hell’s Kitchen wearing a homemade White Tiger mask and outfit outside City Hall. The image can be found below.

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) claimed he needed an "army" in the season finale of "Daredevil: Born Again," and it would appear he's getting one. Marvel Studios' first full-fledged effort to combine the old Netflix universe of superheroes with their ongoing cinematic universe was more or less a success (as you can read in my mixed review for /Film here), setting the stage for even more street-level action. The debut season ended with the villainous Mayor Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) fully in control of New York City, enacting martial law, and declaring war on vigilantes everywhere. Our scrappy heroes found themselves on the defensive, barely scrounging together enough holdouts to pose a threat to his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Luckily, all signs are pointing to a familiar face joining their ranks.

Season 2 of "Born Again" may be bringing (some of) the Defenders back into the thick of things, but don't sleep...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a thrilling ensemble of superheroes, many of whom have spent the past two decades saving the world - and indeed the universe - from all kinds of threats. We've appreciated watching adventures on the big screen in which the likes of Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Captain America stopped alien invasions, and on the small screen as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Punisher all protected their city from more grounded, ancient threats.

But as the years go on, Marvel Studios has moved on from some heroes, retiring the characters or bidding them farewell with a noble, heroic death. Sometimes a new hero takes over their mantle, while most of the time it is simply retired with the hero who took their last breath in that armor.

Sometimes their legacy carries on in a friend or relative who picks up where they left off.

Daredevil: Born AgainSeason 2 is currently filming in New York and is expected to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026 as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. The next batch of episodes will follow on from the events of Season 1, with Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock assembling an army of superpowered allies to blaze through Hell's Kitchen and fight back against the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, set up by Vincent D'Onofrio's Mayor Wilson Fisk. "Daredevil: Born Again" season 1, episode 7 focuses heavily on the art-themed serial killer Muse (played by "Your Honor" star Hunter Doohan), whose kidnapping of Angela Del Toro (Camila Rodriguez) has finally convinced Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) to resume his Daredevil vigilante identity. Unfortunately, by doing so, Murdock also reveals a massive weakness in his very particular power set.

In a direct continuation of the Muse storyline in "Daredevil: Born Again" episode 6 (an episode that brought back a memorable character from "Hawkeye"), Daredevil infiltrates Muse's lair after their initial encounter is over and the NYPD cops temporarily leave the scene. The hero puts his super-senses to good use by using his ungloved hand to feel his way around the various sketches and papers that the villain left behind. This would all be well and good ... if it wasn't for the fact that...

Following last week's clutch rescue, tonight's episode opens in the Mayor's officer, where Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) learns that the young survivor, Angela del Toro (Camila Rodriguez), is claiming Daredevil (Charlie Cox) was the one who saved her - a revelation that seems to genuinely surprise Fisk. He clears the room and contemplates his next move... cue the opening credits!

Meanwhile, Matt is shown back at his apartment, recalling the previous night's events. As he washes blood from his hair, his shower is interrupted by Heather (Margarita Levieva), and the two share a private moment.

Cut to the next morning in their bedroom: Heather questions Matt about his mysterious late-night comings and goings - and where he's getting all these bruises. He tries to downplay her suspicions, but she pushes back, telling him to stop burying his trauma.

It’s the dawn of a new day for the Man Without Fear, and as Daredevil: Born Again rises from the ashes of the Defendersverse, he’s finally being amalgamated into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although it wasn’t always the plan, there have been plenty of returning faces and newcomers alike. Alongside Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, newcomers included Kamar de los Reyes’ Hector Ayala, Camila Rodriguez’s Angela del Toro, and the mysterious Muse (although the twist that it’s Hunter Doohan playing him won’t come as a surprise).

That gallery includes a shot from last week's shoot showing a seemingly distraught Matt Murdock emerging from the water after an altercation on a boat. We also have an incredible set video with Charlie Cox suited up and performing his own stunts as he battles Mayor Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force.

A reporter on set has also managed to confirm that Camila Rodriguez will return as Angela del Toro alongside Hector Ayala's widow, Soledad Ayala (Ashley Marie Ortiz).

The expectation is that Angela will suit up as the new White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, with Daredevil possibly serving as her mentor.

MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again is stunning the fans with new twists and turns with each episode. From Matt Murdock’s fresh outlook on life to having to deal with devastating tragedy after tragedy, the show has been quite an emotional roller coaster from the start.

While fans have been happy about Charlie Cox and the rest of the crew being a part of this reboot show after Netflix canceled the original Daredevil show after 3 Seasons, their inclusion sure comes at a cost. Unfortunately, that cost is becoming heavier to write off as the story progresses further.

However, even with all the deaths and tragedies the MCU show has been portraying from the start, nothing has made me angrier than the recent episode. Or, rather, learning a tidbit about Episode 4, has sent me down a spiral of despair.

Titled "Sic Semper Systema," Daredevil: Born Again embraced a new arc of storytelling in Season 1 after the tragic murder of White Tiger shocked the world in Episode 3. Following the murder of Hector Ayala, Matt Murdock attempts to get to the bottom of what happened to his client.

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) have always had a lot in common, including a shared belief their beloved city needs to be cleaned up. In “Daredevil: Born Again” Episode 4, written by David Feige & Jesse Wigutow and directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, Matt faces the limits of his above board legal work when he infers that he’s up against police officers — some of the most dangerous individuals he’ll ever encounter, all protected and propped up by the system he has no choice but to trust.

Matt doesn’t believe for a second that Hector (Kamar de los Reyes) was executed by Punisher Aka Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), and moves right to the obvious answer: it was the cops, because Hector got in their way, and his freedom was both an inconvenience and an insult.

The Naughty Nine is a blended genre holiday film that combines elements of a heist movie, a Western, and a superhero story while maintaining its integrity as a Christmas movie. Disney Branded Television announced today that Danny Glover will play Santa Claus in its forthcoming original movie, The Naughty Nine. The teaser for the project, which will be released on the Disney Channel annd Disney+, and the first photo of Glover in character were also released. See below for those.

In “The Naughty Nine,” mischievous fifth grader Andy (Winslow Fegley) finds himself without a present from Santa on Christmas morning. Realizing he must have landed on the “naughty list” and feeling unfairly maligned, Andy pulls together a team of eight other naughty listers to help him execute an elaborate heist in Santa’s Village at the North Pole to get the presents they feel they deserve. Along the way, the group comes to realize that the very best way off the naughty list is to redirect their unique talents for good ― instead of mischief.

Lethal Weapon fans may be flipping to the Disney Channel this holiday season to catch Danny Glover as Santa Claus in the Christmas movie, The Naughty Nine.

Entertainment Weekly debuted the first look at Glover suited up as the legendary Christmas figure, as well as the teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, which is described as "Ocean's Eleven for kids." Joining Glover in the movie are Winslow Fegley as Andy, Camila Rodriguez as Dulce, Anthony Joo as Lewis; Imogen Cohen as Ha-Yoon, Clara Stack as Rose, Deric McCabe as Jon Anthony, Ayden Elijah as Albert, Madilyn Kellam as Laurel and Derek Theler as Bruno. Together they form the titular Naughty Nine who are looking for a way off of Santa's naughty list.

The Welder takes the very prevalent issue of racism and subtly explores the true horror that is racial division and even offers a solution, albeit a morbid one.
