The stars of the hit sci-fi thriller Severance reconvened Saturday night for a hilarious grilling by Conan O’Brien.
The Q&a, at Apple TV+’s FYC space at the Hollywood Athletic Club, started with a few mishaps, including a missing chair for O’Brien and a shortage of microphones, which left Ben Stiller, the show's executive producer and primary director, without an amplification device. “Really? You guys have to share a mic?” O’Brien asked with a trademark incredulity when Severance costar Tramell Tillman passed his microphone to Stiller. “It’s Apple! They make a billion dollars a second, and they had to find me a chair at the last minute, and you two are sharing a mic.” Over loud laughter from the crowd, Stiller joked, “They spent all the money on the rooms upstairs.” O’Brien nodded before quipping, “It’s the tariffs.”
O’Brien explained that, as an old friend of Stiller’s,...

When the absurdly titled Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write About a Serial Killer was filmed in June 2023, director Tolga Karaçelik, working in English for the first time, had a major stroke of luck: two of its stars, Britt Lower and John Magaro, would become incredibly successful.
Between their roles in Severance and Past Lives, respectively, the two actors went from emerging talent to stars of some of the most talked about movies and TV shows of the last few years. We at FandomWire were able to speak to Karaçelik on the ridiculousness of making a dark comedy, what it was like to work with the cast, and how moviemaking is an inherently selfish medium. Check out the full interview below!

Jimmy Kimmel Live! remains a go-to destination in late-night TV for A-list celebrity interviews and Jimmy Kimmel's take on D.C. So what should fans expect to see on ABC tonight?
Kimmel was kept busy last week, covering the fallout from the Signal text scandal as well as hosting some of the stars from The White Lotus. It's the kind of balance audiences have come to expect, and enjoy, from the show.
Unfortunately, they'll have to go without that entertainment on Monday. There will not be a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight.
Instead, ABC will reair the the March 6 episode. Tune in to see Kimmel chat with the original White Lotus star, Jennifer Coolidge. Plus, Sarah Bock and Coco Jones appear.
It looks like that will be the plan for the remainder of the week, too. Kimmel and his team will be off this week, but should return on Monday,...

Coming just hours after the show’s Season 2 finale shook fans, the “Severance” PaleyFest panel rocked the Dolby Theatre by unleashing a live marching band number — recreating a memorable moment from the episode.
Tramell Tillman, who plays Mr. Milchick, led a marching band through the Dolby Theatre. Prior to the sudden performance, Tillman had been the only one out of the cast and creative team to not show up on stage when his name was called. Just as the panel was getting started — and after Stiller explained that the actor “goes off the grid” at times — Tillman made his entrance with the band.
The Season 2 finale, which was released the day prior to the panel, involves Mr. Milchick acting as a drum major during an elaborate marching band sequence.

This article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2 episode 10, "Cold Harbor"
From innies and outies to characters who are entirely unsevered (as far as we know), you can count on nearly every "Severance" character to face untold existential hurdles that few mere mortals are equipped to comprehend, let alone handle. Unless a character is armed with the ironclad self-obsession of Ricken Hale (Michael Chernus) or the megalomaniac devotion of Jame Eagan (Michael Siberry), the world Lumon Industries created seems custom designed to grind a person down.
The company, on the other hand, is built to endure. Over two seasons of "Severance," nothing the protagonists have managed to do has really swayed Lumon in any significant way beyond tiny inconveniences, minor PR crises, and the occasional personnel change ... until now.

It's not just you. Even the Severance brain trust admits the explosive Season 2 finale was just as "heartbreaking" to film as it was to watch.
Core members of the Apple TV+ series' creative team and cast reunited on Friday at the jammed-to-capacity Dolby Theater in Hollywood to rewatch the episode "Cold Harbor" and then break down the game-changing season for the opening night of Paley Fest 2025, an annual festival showcasing the best in television ahead of Emmy voting.

This article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2 in general, and Mr. Milchick in particular.
Seth Milchick (Tramell Tillman) is the kind of guy the protagonists of Mike Judge's 1999 black comedy "Office Space" would have nightmares about. He's a born middle manager with an exaggeratedly friendly and calm demeanor that nevertheless veers toward stern sharpness whenever someone starts pushing the boundaries of the Lumon policies he enforces. Sharply dressed, well-built, and nigh-unfailingly polite, Mr. Milchick seems like a James Bond villain's elite henchman who adheres to a white collar gimmick until it's time to put 007 in a headlock -- only, he never, ever drops the facade. After two seasons of "Severance," Milchick has only offered brief glimpses of a true human being underneath his businesslike exterior -- and even then, it tends to take extensive humiliation or physical pain for him to do so.

Fresh off the season two finale, Severance has been renewed for a third installment at Apple TV+. The dystopian series stars Adam Scott as Mark Scout, a widower who undergoes a procedure to be “severed” that renders him unable to access his memories at work and vice versa. He works at the mysterious Lumon Industries with Irving (John Turturro), Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Helly (Britt Lower), and season two picks up after the team led what is referred to as the “Microdat Uprising.”

Praise Kier! This article contains major spoilers for the season 2 finale of "Severance."
No matter what you might have had on your "Severance" Bingo card for the final episode of a phenomenal second season, we're going to go out on a limb and say nobody predicted that. The cross-cutting conversation between Mark Scout's (Adam Scott) innie and outie, his innie's highly-anticipated completion of the Cold Harbor file, and their combined attempt to free Gemma (Dichen Lachman) before his innie ultimately chose to stay behind with Helly R. (Britt Lower) are undoubtedly among the biggest reveals and most significant developments in this series to date, of course. But don't let all the ceaseless demands for our entertainment to do nothing but "advance the plot" distract from one of the funniest and most bizarre additions to Lumon Industries yet: the musical department known as Choreography and Merriment.

Severance renewed for season 3 (Photo Credit: Apple TV+)
Apple TV+ is rewarding Severance fans with another season of the critically acclaimed sci-fi workplace drama. The streamer renewed the award-winning series for a third season, and Severance creator Dan Erickson claims it won’t take another three years to arrive.
“We’re hoping that there are no massive strikes or pandemics or fissures opening up in the crest of the Earth that end up delaying us. Barring that, I’d certainly hope that we’d get this one out a bit sooner,” said Erickson in an interview with Variety. “But, Severance has always been a show that takes a long time to make, and we’re proud of what we came up with, even though it took quite a long time.”
The series premiered on February 18, 2022, with season two debuting on January 17, 2025. The game-changing season two finale aired on March 20, 2025.

Hey, have you heard about this little show on TV called "Severance"? It's on this little-known streamer called Apple TV+, it just wrapped up its thrilling and mystery-laden second season, and, oh yeah, it's all anyone can talk about these days. Who knew that a dark office satire all about taking work/life balance to the furthest possible extreme would resonate with audiences as much as it has? Well, that's precisely what's helped turn this series from a quirky oddity into a runaway pop-culture sensation.
"Severance" comes from creator Dan Erickson and executive producer/director Ben Stiller, both of whom crafted a labyrinthine world that's just a few degrees off from our own. Every bit of that tireless world-building effort led to a sophomore season that all but blew viewers away, putting our main characters through the wringer and leading to a finale that left us waiting on the edge of our seats for more.

Since its debut in 2022, ‘Severance’ has built a strong following, with its first season earning 14 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
Season 2, which wrapped up recently, took us deeper into the mystery. Mark and his team—played by talented actors like Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, and John Turturro—kept digging into Lumon’s secrets, facing some dark consequences along the way. The cast also includes...

In the wake of its second season finale, “Severance” has been renewed for a third season by Apple TV+.
Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed the news in a social media exchange with director and executive producer Ben Stiller, writing, “Season 3 of ‘Severance’ available on request.”
In the hit show, Mark Scout leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.
In the second season, Mark and his friends learned the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.

Severance Season 2 is wrapping up on Apple TV+, and Ben Stiller is addressing when viewers can expect the third installment.
Three years passed between the first and second seasons of Dan Erickson’s sci-fi psychological thriller. Producer Stiller recently revealed that fans will not have to wait that long for Season 3.
“No, no, the plan is not—definitely not,” Stiller said on the New Heights podcast after Travis Kelce asked if he was going to have to wait three years for the third season. “No, the plan is not, and hopefully, we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon. That will not be that.”
Severance stars Adam Scott as Mark Scout, an employee at Lumon Industries who agrees to participate in a “severance” program in which his workplace memories are separated from his primary, external memories.

The Twilight Zone is one of the most brilliant and trippy series ever made. Created by Rod Serling, the CBS series is a virtual and psychologically thrilling trip into the unknown. The Twilight Zone premiered over six decades ago, and it still holds up very well as far as the stories and the visual experience go. Maybe that’s why the Jordan Peele reboot failed: it couldn’t capture the same magic as the Serling series did. Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Severance season 2, episode 9, "The After Hours."
Severance star Sarah Bock breaks down why her character, Miss Huang, shows Dylan (Zach Cherry) empathy. For most of this season, Miss Huang has had a mostly harsh attitude toward the innies and made an effort to avoid humanizing them, including not wanting them to throw a funeral for Irving (John Turturro). However, in Severance season 2, episode 9, Miss Huang apologizes to Dylan after the heartbreak he endures with his wife, and Miss Huang even apologizes for not facilitating the visitations better. This scene takes place after Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) tells Miss Huang that she is being transferred.
During an interview with Decider, Bock was asked why Miss Huang seemed to soften her attitude towards the innies during her final hours on the Severed Floor. Bock reveals that Miss Huang's atittude changes because she now views the innies as human,...

It's not a good idea to secretly meet your spouse's "innie," and it's also not a good idea to keep reading if you haven't watched "Severance" season 2 episode 9, "The After Hours." Spoilers ahead!
Season 2 of "Severance" presents a very interesting moral quandary. If you're married to someone who splits their consciousness into their "innie" and "outie" every day at Lumon Industries, is it cheating if you start a relationship with your spouse's innie without telling their outie? According to the outie version of Dylan George, played by Zach Cherry, the answer is yes, that's definitely cheating — and he would know, because this exact thing happens to him in the season's penultimate episode "The After Hours."
Gretchen George (Merritt Wever) has been visiting Dylan's innie, who just goes by Dylan G., at Lumon throughout season 2 — because, as a twisted reward probably meant to keep him happy and working efficiently, Dylan has...

Life isn't easy for anyone associated with Lumon Industries, and this applies triple if they happen to be working on the company's infamous and controversial Severed Floor. The poor innies and their truckloads of existential crises are just one part of the whole story, too -- even if you're an unsevered worker with a cozy managerial position, things are liable to get tricky.
Interestingly, a pattern seems to emerge among the Kier faithful who have been tasked with supervising the Severed Floor during the show's two seasons. The seething, hostile Ms. Cobel (Patricia Arquette) and the calm, collected Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) couldn't be more different from each other. With the introduction of the latter's Deputy Manager replacement Miss Huang (Sarah Bock), however, "Severance" season 2 shows a certain, deeply worrying trend in Lumon's recruitment policies. In "The After Hours," Seth Milchick, the manager of the severed floor played by Trammell Tillman, finally cracks. Severance's Miss Huang star, Sarah Bock, shares insight into her mystery character and her connection with Lumon. As the little blue bus pulls up to Lumon’s office building, Ms. Huang (Sarah Bock) looks more childlike than ever. A drooping bookbag hangs from her back. Puffy earmuffs frame her plump cheeks. Whatever administrative authority she wielded on the severed floor is gone, and in its place is the apprehension of a young girl moving to a new place. Whether Ms. Huang knows where she’s going is less important than the sudden displacement itself (though Svalbard’s proximity to the North Pole may clarify Mr. Milchick’s irritations with his would-be successor). Tonight, rather than sleep in her room, next door to her parents, she will be napping on a plane before spending night after night at the Gunnel Eagan Empathy Center. The latest episode of Severance season two, titled "Sweet Vitriol," has been met with mixed reactions from fans. Some have criticized its slower pace compared to previous episodes and wondered why we needed an entire episode following Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette). Especially after the incredible episode before it, "Chikhai Bardo," which gave us a detailed backstory on Mark and Gemma's relationship, what's happening to Gemma now, and ended with Mark waking up from "journeying" after flooding his severance chip. So much is happening in the world of Severance right now between Mark's integration, Gemma's testing, and Helena spying on the innies. Many fans are confused as to why the showrunners decided to air a Harmony-centered episode now.
It's true that "Sweet Vitriol" lacked the same fast-paced, dialogue-heavy, visually arresting tone and environment we are used to. It's also shorter than the other episodes at only 37 minutes. However, this episode...

Do not drive over to the factory to meet an old chum if you haven't seen "Sweet Vitriol," the eighth episode of season 2 of "Severance." This is your final spoiler warning!
This article also contains discussions of addiction and child abuse.
After living without Patricia Arquette's steely Harmony Cobel for a few episodes of "Severance," we finally catch up with the former head of Lumon's severed floor while she's driving around in her Volkswagen White Rabbit to parts unknown. At the beginning of her standalone episode "Sweet Vitriol," we see Harmony arrive in the run-down town of Salt's Neck, and when she meets up with an old friend, who we eventually learn is named Hampton (played by James Le Gros). Hampton runs a small dining spot called The Drippy Pot, and while he serves coffee to an elderly patron, he also slips him a bottle; shortly before that, we...

This article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2 episode 8, "Sweet Vitriol."
"Severance" season 2 episode 8, "Sweet Vitriol," continues the previous episode's theme of focusing on a single character's story. This time, the eyes are on Patricia Arquette's Harmony Cobel, who takes a trip to the town she left behind to acquire some important papers that reveal that she, not Jame Eagan (Michael Siberry), was the inventor of the severance procedures. It's a nice little revelation but ultimately doesn't add a lot to Cobel, whose narrative continues to be adrift after Lumon cut her loose.
This is a problem especially since the underwhelming episode follows the excellent "Lost-"influenced "Severance" season 2 episode 7, "Chikhai Bardo." That episode focuses on Gemma (Dichen Lachman) and elevates her from a damsel in distress figure to a very real, very complex person whose particular predicament is integral to the entire show's central secrets. What's more, the episode...

The second season of Apple TV+’s Severance is coming to an end, but fear not, questions will be asked.
Quinta Brunson is moderating a Q&a about the second season of the drama series. The event, which includes an all-guild screening of the Adam Scott-fronted show, will take place at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles on March 22.
Brunson is not directly involved in Severance but is close with Scott, having guest-starred on the revival of Starz’s Party Down that aired in 2023.
Panelists for the event include Ben Stiller, who directs and exec produces the show; creator Dan Erickson; and stars Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Patricia Arquette, Sarah Bock, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Gwendoline Christie.
Deadline is a partner for this event, so check back afterwards for full coverage.

In the season 2 premiere of Dan Erickson and Ben Stiller's hit Apple TV+ series "Severance", several of the "innies" are invited to watch an instructional video about their bizarre workplace. After Mr. Milchick (Trammell Tillman) and his strangely young assistant of sorts Miss Huang gather Mark S. (Adam Scott), Helly R. (Britt Lower), Dylan G. (Zach Cherry), and Irving B. (John Turturro) in a room to watch an instructional video about the functionings of Lumon, the building itself ends up playing a lead role in the video ... and it's voiced by none other than Keanu Reeves.
Was Reeves the first choice? Stiller has admitted that he was not, and that his first choice couldn't really make it work ... because his first choice happened to be the former President of the United States. "I didn't ask him in person, I knew someone who knew his lawyer and his lawyer said...

As the hit Apple TV+ series Severanceheads toward the seventh episode of its highly-anticipated second season, many questions still remain, like who exactly is Miss Huang? And where is Harmony Cobel? Actor Tramell Tillman, who plays Mr. Milchick in the series, sat down with Collider to talk about the season so far and about working with Sarah Bock, the young actress who plays the mysterious Miss Huang.
“Sarah is so lovely to work with. She’s so bright and has an incredible future ahead of her. "She’s just brilliant,” Tillman said. Mark’s hallucination at the end of “Trojan’s Horse” was one of the more upsetting sequences of Severance to date. Not only did Mark S. have to watch his wife in the Lumon halls, but he could not even get her to respond. The result was instantly paralyzing, and his reintegration appears to be underway. “Attila” looks to dive deeper into this aspect of the series, opening the door for stranger and more upsetting actions from Lumon in the weeks ahead.
Severance — “Attila” — The Recap
Mark (Adam Scott) sits with Reghabi (Karen Aldridge), relaying the information he got from his brief vision into Lumon. She believes this means the process is working, but Mark is deeply disturbed by Gemma’s total lack of recognition. He talks about bargaining as a step in the grief process, and he realizes that he might be able to make those changes.
