Not everyone can lose in an intense game like Jeopardy! and still come off as a class act as Amy Schneider did recently.
The Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament 2025 (Jit) began recently, and Amy Schneider, alongside Luigi de Guzman and Avi Gupta, all competed for the first win.
While Amy tried her hardest to come out ahead against Avi and Luigi, she was unsuccessful this time.
Amy, who won 40 games of Jeopardy! in a row in 2022, was undoubtedly a fan favorite for the Jit games.
She happens to be the second longest-running player in the Jeopardy! Game, behind Ken Jennings, who recently became the host of Jeopardy! after a long search.
Amy, a writer, came in third with a win of $4200, after Avi, a law student, won $4367, and Luigi, an attorney, came in first with $18,799 while advancing to the semifinals.

Jeopardy! fans are thanking Ken Jennings for a very special tribute. He has become a fan favorite and was able to take over as the solo host of the hit game show. So, what type of tribute did Ken pay that was so meaningful? Keep reading for more details.
Ken Jennings Pays Homage To A Legend
Ken Jennings had a long run as a Jeopardy! contestant and impressed now-late host, Alex Trebek. Trebek had spectacularly hosted the long-running game show for decades. When he fell ill, fans were devastated and questioned who could possibly take his place. Many different actors, comedians, and former contestants tried out to see who would be the best fit. It still never seemed right because he was irreplaceable. In the end, Ken was chosen as was actress and neuroscientist, Mayim Bialik. They were going to co-host and take over various versions of the game show.

Is Ken Jennings’ hosting position in jeopardy because of Ryan Seacrest’s success on Wheel of Fortune?
Apparently, the Emmy award-winning Jeopardy! host is in danger of being replaced.
According to a source who recently spoke with Closer Weekly, Ken needs to watch his back.
The insider claims that Ryan’s recent success as the new Wheel of Fortune host means that Ken could get fired from Jeopardy! “at any time.”

October has been a wild month in terms of reality TV, with new seasons dropping constantly, and some major shows airing finales.
In particular, Dancing With The Stars has been active, airing two episodes to make up for the one bumped by the 2024 vice presidential debate on October 1.
This past week saw several major premieres, as well as a very strange and unpopular DWTS guest judging appearance by none other than Gene Simmons.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht returned on Bravo Monday night, followed by TLC's 1000-Lb Sisters on Tuesday and E!'s bonkers competition show House Of Villains came back on Wednesday.
It isn't easy to keep up with what's airing, where to watch (or stream) it, or how to tune in with your individual cable provider slash streaming subscription which is why we have a guide...

When longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak called it quits, there wasn't an obvious successor waiting in the wings like there was with Ken Jennings and Jeopardy!. Eventually, Ryan Seacrest stepped into his shoes and Season 42 of the long-running series, making his debut on Monday, September 9. Perhaps due to sheer curiosity about what the show could look like with another host, Wheel of Fortune saw a noticeable ratings bump.
Seacrest's debut episode saw a 57% rating bump over the previous season's debut, according to Deadline. Keep in mind that's just for the debut episode, and the ratings could very quickly slump again now that curiosity has been quelled in many people. Even then, a ratings increase like this is promising for the show, and it proves that audiences weren't opposed to a new host. There were still some complaints, naturally.

Summer is a nightmare for Jeopardy! fans because the beloved series goes into reruns between seasons.
The show has undergone many changes over the last few years, with various new iterations announced and changes on the hosting panel.
Jeopardy! Season 41 promises to bring consistency back to the show and the broader franchise, with Ken Jennings as the sole host.
Mayim Bialik had been sharing the co-hosting duties with Ken following Alex Trebek’s death, but her time on the show was announced to be over in December 2023.
Despite the door being left open for her to host the primetime editions on ABC, Ken has become the face of the entire franchise this year, and it doesn’t look like that will change any time soon.
Having multiple hosts can be confusing, so we’re just happy with whatever makes the show the best version of itself.

Recently, Jeopardy! fans are expressing how tired they are getting of the current champ’s obnoxiously cocky winning style. Although the Survivor alum, Drew Basile, is “acing” many of the questions on the show, he is rubbing fans the wrong way with his ego.
Drew Basile Has An Abundance Of Confidence
While Jeopardy! and Survivor fans are getting a treat with an unexpected crossover having new champ Drew Basile charting his way through his winning streak, not everyone loves the experience. Undeniably, he is having a good run on the show. Making his first mark by defeating reigning champ, Adrianna Harmeyer, he has since had several close calls on his journey. But his confidence is unmatched with his reality TV experience only adding to his ego. Now, some fans are going on strike until the ego-centric winner moves on.

While Jeopardy! fans have spoken out about Gen Z slang not belonging in the traditional show, they are noticing something else that is alarming. Lately, fans are picking up on an increasing number of “inaccuracies.” Undeniably, it is annoying for fans to catch “misleading” clues and completely wrong facts during the show.
If It’s Not Broken

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings is so dedicated to his job that he’ll take a pay cut to keep it.
That’s what a source recently claimed about the 50-year-old Jeopardy! host.
Ken has been hosting Jeopardy! solo since December 2023. Prior to that, he shared hosting duties with Mayim Bialik, who has since been released by Sony.
Following legendary host Alex Trebek’s passing in 2020, Ken and Mayim were named co-hosts in 2022.
But now that Ken is hosting the trivia show alone, he’s serious about his career and would reportedly do just about anything to stay on board – even accept a lower salary.
A source spoke with The Sun and revealed that Ken would like to remain in his position for the long haul, much like Alex Trebek did for 37 seasons.

Wheel of Fortune is taking a page from its quiz show cousin Jeopardy! in inviting back former players for another chance to spin the wheel, but not everybody is happy about it. Many fans think it’s unfair that the show is allowing people to compete twice when hopeful viewers often take many years to appear on ‘Wheel’ and a large number never achieve their dream. On Monday, May 27, the long-running game show kicked off its Fan Favorite week, which sees past contestants return for a shot at redemption or, in some cases, for repeated glory. The latter was certainly the case for Cynthia King from Warren, Michigan, who won more than $83,000 during her first appearance back in February when she nailed the Bonus Round puzzle. As she explained to host Pat Sajak at the start of Monday’s episode, she hosted 75 friends and family for a watch party of...

By virtually any metric, Matt Amodio is one of the most successful quiz show contestants of all time.
The Medina, Ohio native, who now works as a quantitative researcher in New York, burst onto the trivia scene in 2021 with a commanding performance on American game show institution Jeopardy! Amodio would go on to dot his name all over the hallowed Jeopardy! record books, winning 38 consecutive games (third most all time), taking in $1,518,601 in prize-winnings (also third most all time), and finishing third in the inaugural Jeopardy! There's a lot to like about Jeopardy tournaments that bring back the show's top-performing contestants and pit them head-to-head in single-elimination battle royales.
But as the film studio execs who kept blowing up the superhero franchise until it exploded have recently learned the hard way, too much of a good thing can lead to alienated audiences.
And now more than ever, once you lose 'em, it's hard to win 'em back.
To be clear, there's no indication that Jeopardy's recent string of tournaments -- the longest in series history -- has had a negative impact on the show's ratings.
But "tournament fatigue" has become a buzzword in the Jeopardy-obsessed corners of social media, and media outlets have begun running editorials alleging that the show has lost its way by focusing too much on past victors.

Jeopardy! is celebrating a significant milestone as it turns 60 years old.
The long-running trivia show has undergone several changes throughout the decades, but if there’s one thing that comes to mind when viewers think of Jeopardy!, it’s Alex Trebek.
Alex served as Jeopardy!’s host for 37 years, and it didn’t take long for him to become a household name.
But Alex had to step down from his position when his battle with pancreatic cancer interfered with his career, and sadly, Alex lost his battle with cancer in November 2020.
Although Alex is gone, he’s certainly not forgotten, as evidenced by a recent campaign announced by Jeopardy!
On Instagram, Jeopardy! announced its 60th birthday in a post dedicated to Alex and his legacy.

Jeopardy!‘s 2024 Tournament of Champions continued to deliver surprises on Tuesday night (February 27) as Season 39 super-champ and fan favorite Hannah Wilson was knocked out of the competition. Wilson’s elimination marked two back-to-back shockers, as 21-game winner and front-runner Cris Pannullo was defeated on Monday (February 26), bringing a premature end to his Toc journey. Tuesday’s game saw Wilson, a puzzle designer from Chicago, Illinois, up against David Sibley, an Episcopal priest from Walla Walla, Washington, and Yungsheng Wang, a deputy public defender originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. Sibley got out to an early lead, proving to be fast on the buzzer and answering 11 clues correctly in the first round. He also found and answered the game’s first Daily Double, even dropping a Salt n Peppa reference for good measure. Wilson fought back in Double Jeopardy and briefly took the lead after landing on a Daily Double and boosting her score.

February 28th brings a brand new collection of Connections and today's answers shouldn't be too difficult for fans of the game to solve. The categories aren't too niche in today's game and there aren't many words that could be confused with other sections.
The word-grouping game has gathered a lot of attention since the popularity of Wordle back in 2020. When The New York Times acquired Wordle their entire daily game section had a big resurgence with many new games being created to help players find more simple gameplay games to add to their morning routines. Connections is fairly new in the scope of daily games, but has hooked quite a few players since it began.

Call Me Kat star Mayim Bialik and Jeopardy‘s greatest of all-time Ken Jennings have been sharing hosting duties ever since producer Mike Richards was dropped from the position last year. However, based on some recent tweets, it appears that Cohen might just be coming aboard to host the Celebrity Jeopardy! primetime specials. The speculation started last week after the game show fan account BuzzerBlog tweeted, “100 prepared to be wrong but still not totally believing that the Mayim-hosts-primetime-Jeopardy thing is still here. If that was still a thing I feel like the many press releases talking about Celebrity Jeopardy would have mentioned her by now.” Cohen, who was the Grand Champion of the 2017 Tournament of Champions, replied to the tweet with a Gif of Yoda saying,...

Refresh for updates… On what would have been her 100th birthday, the beloved TV legend Betty White is being remembered with online tributes, special screenings and animal charity challenges.
The Cincinnati Zoo even named a newborn penguin in her honor, calling the blue penguin chick “Rose” after White’s Golden Girls character. “We think Betty would approve,” the Zoo tweeted.
In fact, animal rights and charities are a common theme in the White tributes, honoring the actress’ longtime championing of the cause.
“In honor of the late, great Betty White,” tweeted actress Bernadette Peters, “we ask that you participate in the #BettyWhiteChallenge by donating to Broadway Barks. Funds raised will be distributed amongst our network of 40+ animal shelters and rescue groups. Rip Dear Sweet Betty! Woof Woof.”
On the big screen, White is being celebrated tonight with the one-night theatrical release by Fathom Events of the documentary Betty White: A Celebration.

Refresh for updates… Tributes are pouring in for Oscar-winning actor, director, civil rights activist and humanitarian Sidney Poitier, who has died at age 94.
“For over 80 years, Sidney and I laughed, cried and made as much mischief as we could,” said Harry Belafonte in a statement (the two met in the mid-1940s while working at The American Negro Theatre in New York City). “He was truly my brother and partner in trying to make this world a little better. He certainly made mine a whole lot better.”
In a statement to Deadline, Denzel Washington said, “It was a privilege to call Sidney Poitier my friend. He was a gentle man and opened doors for all of us that had been closed for years. God bless him and his family.”
Sidney Poitier: A Groundbreaking Career In Pictures
Westworld actor Jeffrey Wright was among the first to share his thoughts on Poitier’s passing.

What if the right Jeopardy! host was the obvious choice all along?
Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind Jeopardy!, announced today that two guest hosts will see the beloved quiz show institution through to the end of the calendar year, following the ousting of the former executive producer and the show’s (poor) choice to replace Alex Trebek, Mike Richards.
Former guest host Mayim Bialik, who has already secured a job hosting primetime Jeopardy! specials, will begin her next guest hosting stint on September 20 and end it the first week of November, for seven weeks total. Ken Jennings, the undisputed Jeopardy! Goat, will then take over through December.
Though Sony previously claimed that it would restart the guest hosting “audition” process that saw Jennings, Bialik, Richards, and nearly a dozen other contestants try their hands at replacing the departed Trebek, it now seems possible that it will just try to...

When Jeopardy! Goat contestant Brad Rutter spoke to Den of Geek earlier this year, he shared his opinion that there is only one perfect Jeopardy! host to replace the departed Alex Trebek.
“Alex,” Rutter said. “But we can’t do it, unfortunately. That’s one of the terrible things about it. I can’t even really imagine what it’s going to be like.”
Alex Trebek was about as irreplaceable as a TV personality can be. As the host and quiz master of Jeopardy! for 37 years, the Canadian entertainer was the perfect combination of studious, professional, and playful. Following Trebek’s death from pancreatic cancer in November 2020, Jeopardy!’s producers realized there was no point in replacing the TV giant with only one host. That’s why they ultimately decided to go with a roster of multiple guest hosts for the show’s 37th season.
