Bi-lingual, versatile actress Yoshiko Fuji was born into a samurai family in Japan. Her global collaborations include Sayônara starring Irène Jacob (Kôji Fukada: Cannes Prix du Jury Award winner); Fuunji (Shigeru Ishihara: Japan Academy Award winner); Everyone's Carol (with Austin Pendleton and Arthur French); The Grass Couch (with Tovah Feldshuh); and Miyako Inn (Takeshi Kitano stage production). The Japanese government awarded Fuji the Overseas Study Programme for Artists Fellowship Grant for her work on Japanese stage. Classically trained in New York with the gold standards of Broadway and Cinema.
