“Big Brother” Season 26 proved that the CBS competition series is still fully capable of living up to its tagline: “Expect the Unexpected.”
One of the summer’s most shocking twists was the departure of Season 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby as host of the jury roundtable (in favor of “Deal or No Deal Island” Season 2). In his place, Season 24 winner Taylor Hale is officially set to return to the series — and she couldn’t be more excited.

Season 5 of The Circle introduced a new format with a heavier focus on dating, leading to more questions about the cast and their lives outside the show. Despite initial discontent with the changes, the fresh format kept the season interesting, and some contestants had varying abilities to win due to their familiarity with a previous contestant. The cast members have been busy with their post-show lives, pursuing careers as influencers, models, personal trainers, advocates, comedians, and musicians, while also maintaining friendships and celebrating their success together.
With the conclusion of The Circle season 5 in January 2023, there's curiosity surrounding where the cast is now. Netflix's Perfect Match season 2 has been confirmed and will hopefully be even better than the first. After Perfect Match season 1 was a success for the streaming platform, bringing together various stars from several of the streaming service's reality shows, the platform renewed the show for another season. Though many of the stars from Perfect Match season 1, like franchise villain Francesca Farago and golden girl Chloe Veitch, are now in relationships, there are still plenty of stars for Netflix to choose from. With all-new seasons of shows airing and other shows on the horizon, it seems like the sky's the limit for Perfect Match season 2.
While Perfect Match season 1 did face its fair share of criticism, the show wound up being a must-watch for Netflix viewers. Seeing some of the stars of various reality stars across the platform come together made for interesting dynamics, and now that the show's producers...

Deaf representation has come a long way in Hollywood.
“Coda’s” release and subsequent best picture Oscar win marked an important moment for deaf audiences. It showed the most significant representation of the community on a global stage since 1986’s “Children of a Lesser God” earned Marlee Matlin a best actress prize.
“Hollywood is making that shift from diversity for optics to something deeper,” says Lauren Ridloff, a deaf actor best known for her work on “Eternals” and “The Walking Dead.”
That deeper shift includes recent projects where deaf representation has been the focus of major storylines. Director James Cameron called on C.J Jones to create Na’vi sign language, featured in “Avatar: The Way of Water.” HBO’s “The Last of Us” offered up another landmark moment when the show about a post-apocalyptic world featured Keivonn Woodard, as a young deaf Black man trying to survive zombie hordes. The Circle season 5 cast members gave tough competition to each other, and there are many who could've been the potential winners of the show. Netflix recently released the newest season of the reality competition series. It featured single contestants playing by either fabricating their identity, or appearing as their original selves. The cast members interacted with each other through a social media app called The Circle. These social connections helped them to become an influencer, and the influencer had a higher chance of winning the show.
On The Circle season 5, every cast member tried their best by using different tactics to climb up the rankings. Contestants who got ranked in the top three had the chance of becoming the winner and securing 150,000 prize money. Contestants who connect through social media had the upper hand in the competition, but it wasn't necessary, as The Circle season 1 runner-up Shubham Goel was a socially-awkward nerd.

Alliances and even romantic relationships are common strategies players use on The Circle to gain popularity and trust. The Circle has always cast a wide range of compelling personalities, but in The Circle season 5, Raven Sutton made history as the first deaf person to compete on the Netflix reality show, and she recently opened up about the experience. Raven was teamed up with her interpreter, Paris McTizic, but Raven was in complete control of her own game. She brought a lot to The Circle, whether it was compelling strategy or an unintentional love triangle with Marvin Achi. Along the way, Raven shared her true authentic self with the audience and brought representation that The Circle had not seen before.

Netflix is making strides once again, this time with The Circle season 5 and its moves to raise awareness for those hard of hearing. For the most part, The Circle is the same as it’s always been; contestants compete behind screens, and through their social media savviness, they may win big. Season 5 has changed up the format slightly with its singles twist, and the dating emphasis has been a big win for one contestant in particular.
Competitor Raven Sutton has been making winning plays throughout the first batch of season 5 episodes. The contestant is third-generation Deaf in her family, and Asl is her first language. Raven’s been competing on the show with her interpreter Paris McTizic and has developed a blossoming romance with fellow season 5 competitor Marvin Achi.

Netflix recently released the remaining episodes for The Circle season 5, and two contestants Raven Sutton and Chaz Lawery ruled the group. After having many successful seasons, The Circle was revamped once again to entertain viewers with its unique game pattern. The contestants had two options, either participate with their original identity or appear as a catfish. Raven and Chaz, along with Xanthi Perdikomatis, Brett Robinson, Marvin Achi, and Sam Carmona participated with their real identity, whereas Billie-Jean Blackett came in as Bruno, and Brian Clark as Brittney.
The cast members on The Circle lived in separate apartments and chatted through a social media app called "The Circle." Since day one, these players needed to build strong connections to move ahead in the game. Netflix's The Circle has been known to be a game of deception, lying, and catfishing, but The Circle season 5 winner Sam Carmona revealed that she won the game by staying loyal and honest. Sam was able to create bonds with almost every player on The Circle by using her quick wit and emotions. Sam entered The Circle season 5 winner alongside her two closest allies, Chaz Lawery and Raven Sutton, who placed in second and third, respectively. Sam ended up ranking number one out of the five remaining contestants and secured the 100,000 prize.
Sam is the first woman to win without being a catfish on the U.S. version of The Circle, following DeLeesa St. Agathe, who won The Circle season 2 while catfishing as her husband. When Sam was asked by Parade about why she won, she responded, "I made genuine connections with people who were strong in the game.

Dozens of competitors have graced the past five seasons of America's version of The Circle, but while the Netflix series routinely adds new players as the game progresses, these late additions always find themselves stuck with the same disadvantages. Since anyone can enter The Circle as themselves or a catfish, the only way to make it to the final vote and walk away with 100,000 is to not only retain a strong level of popularity but manipulate and align with equally strong players along the way. Even over a video call, Raven Sutton's energy is infectious - as bold and bright as her cobalt-blue hair. The 27-year-old recently made history as the first deaf contestant to ever enter Netflix's playful reality series "The Circle." But in all honesty, she's just here to play the game (and maybe even win). Sutton was initially introduced to the show while searching for entertainment at the peak of the pandemic. "I would consider myself a super fan. Let's be clear on that," she establishes right away, her two interpreters bridging the gap between American Sign Language and spoken word. "I loved the drama on it, I loved the connections. I mean everything about it," she tells Popsugar. However, she quickly realized that watching "The Circle" was nothing compared to the excitement of being on the show herself.

There are several interesting players vying for the 150,000 grand prize on The Circle season 5, but one contestant who quickly left viewers wanting to know more is Tom Houghton. As one of Netflix's more successful reality competitions, The Circle has impressed fans of Big Brother, MTV's Catfish, and other similar programs since its debut in 2020. With strong social skills and a flawless virtual poker face a must, contestants on The Circle can advance through the competition as themselves or anyone else, but must retain their popularity in order to be continuously voted through by their cast mates.

The Circle season 5 may have just kicked off on December 28th, but out of the initial nine contestants introduced, Raven Sutton is already the player that fans and other competitors need to watch out for. The Circle, which first premiered in 2020 with Joe Sasso being voted its first winner, forces players to use their innate social skills and crafty deception tactics to remain in the competition for as long as possible. As a mix of Big Brother and Catfish, contestants on The Circle are physically separated from each other and can therefore play as themselves, other people, or anywhere in between. Naturally, this has made for some dramatic reveals and hilarious results on The Circle, depending on how well competitors are able to entice, or fool, their co-stars.

The trailer for The Circle season 5 has been released, and if the incoming competitors are anything like the show's previous players, The Circle season 5 will be just as dramatic and surprising as fans expect it to be. The Circle, one of Netflix's most popular reality series, has captivated viewers as a mix of Big Brother and MTV's Catfish since its debut in 2020. With a six-figure cash prize on the line, contestants on The Circle must successfully balance being liked, and telling lies when necessary, in order to remain in the game.
