Doug Moench is an American comic book writer and novelist from Chicago. He is strongly associated with series about "street-level" superheroes and antiheroes, often with influences from horror fiction and mystery fiction. He has produced lengthy runs of stories featuring Batman, Catwoman, Conan the Barbarian, the martial artist Shang Chi, the Werewolf by Night/Jack Russell, and Marvel Comics' version of Dracula. He has also worked on comic book adaptations of James Bond and Godzilla.
