Biography

Vanessa Lauren Gamble was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to a doctor of internal medicine and a science teacher. She got her start as a child in musical theatre and landed her first supporting movie role at age 16 in the film Sam and Janet, followed by a lead supporting role in the horror film The Fun Park. Vanessa got her Bachelor of Music and moved to New York City, where she worked extensively Off Broadway and around the country in regional theatre as well as continuing to work in and on TV and films such as Wedgerino and Recall. She continued to study restoration and classical theatre as well as the naturalism style at The Globe Theatre, The Pearl Theatre, and Titan Theatre and was a member of the acting company Theatre East. In 2017 she moved to Los Angeles where she studied comedy at iOWest. Vanessa has always had deep connections with animals, and there are several family tales of her ability to bond with troubled dogs since childhood. She also works with horses and is an accomplished rider in both Western and English styles. Vanessa has a background in dance, gymnastics, singing, improv, and comedy, and is known for playing strong women who lead with their intelligence, humor, and power to cover deep vulnerability.
