Mickey Vermeer

Mickey Vermeer (Netherlands) is a Dutch stage, film and television actress. She studied Musicaltheater at the 'Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten' in Tilburg. Mickey is active in acting, singing and dancing since 2008, since 2020 in a starring role for television, film and stage productions about the popular tradition of Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet.
Her passion for singing, dancing and acting started when she was a child. In 2008 she played a small role in the Studio 100 family stage play "Pinocchio". After a preliminary training she took classes in addition to her regular high school schedule. After graduating from high school she studied a preliminary education at the university. In 2015 she was seen on television in the Dutch program "Spotlight!" on the Dutch children network Nickelodeon and in an episode of the American reality series "Rev Runs Around the World" on the Travel Channel. During the college education she played in the stage plays "Girlfriends", "Spring Awakening" and "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying". She starred in the childrens stage play "Echt Scheiding... de Musical" for The Institute For Social Work, and The Children's Phone after which she added "Evita" (November 2018) and "Aida in Concert" (June 2019) to the list. In 2019 she graduated from Fontys. In the stage play "Kinky Boots" (October 2019) she played the role of US Marge. Her first cinema role following her debut in the Saint Nicholas franchise was first shown in theaters in December 2020 in a movie of Studio 100's female singing trio K3; in this childrens movie she plays a cashier in a media store. In the stage play "Aladdin" (September 2021) she played the role of fortune teller, keen fans could spot her in the lead role 'Jasmin' as a temporary replacement for the regular actress. In the stage play "Aida" (April 2022) she plays the roles of swing, pharaoh and as a temporary replacement for the regular actress in the lead role 'Aida'.
In the year 2020 she started as Black Pete Kadopiet 1 in the feature films and stage shows of 'De Club van Sinterklaas' and in 2021 she played a leading role in the TV series 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Het Pietendiploma' at the online streaming platform Videoland. She performed songs on the albums 'De Club van Sinterklaas: De Leukste Liedjes' (2020, stream), 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Pietendisco' (2021, physical) and 'De Club van Sinterklaas: De Leukste Hits' (2021, physical) of which the latter songs were also released as digital stream album under the name 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Het Vergeten Pietje - De Liedjes uit de Film' (2021) and some songs were also released as digital stream single and/or videoclip. In the kids magazine 'Het Club van Sinterklaas Doeboek' (2021) she was pictured in advertisements (for the 2021 movie and the 2021 series) while her character was also animated especially for the magazine. In 2022 she stars in the Videoland television series 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Geheimen van de Sint' and the cinema movie 'De Club van Sinterklaas en de Race Tegen de Klok'. Songs were featured on the 2022 (physical and digital stream) album 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Zingend Door De Nacht'. She was seen and heard in the 2023 movie 'De Club van Sinterklaas en de Gestrande Stoomboot' in Dutch and Belgian cinema's, heard on the 2023 (physical and digital stream) music album 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Feest op de Stoomboot' and starred more frequently in the TV series 'De Club van Sinterklaas: Pietentube'.
She played roles in commercials for supermarket chain Lidl, household-products chain Blokker, health insurance company VGZ and beer producer Bavaria.
