I am a BAFTA and RTS nominated film editor. My work spans Drama, Documentary and The Arts and has won awards across the genres.
I have just completed; "Earwig" - a surreal feature directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic - "David Lynch's closest filmmaking heir", which premiered in competition at Toronto and won the 'Special Jury Prize' at San Sebastian; and the feature doc - "F@ck this Job, (Tango with Putin)", which traces the last tumultuous decade in Putin's Russia through the fortunes of it's sole surviving independent television channel TVRain.
My past drama credits include; "Innocence" - featuring Marion Cotillard, (artistically electrifying... a once-in-a-lifetime piece of cinema. - BBC), winner of the Bronze Horse at Stockholm; and "Baltimore" - directed by Isaac Julien and starring Melvyn Van Peebles, which took the Grand Jury Prize at the Kuntsfilm Biennale.
I have cut a diverse range of award winning documentary films. Recent work includes; The feature doc. The Changin' Times of Ike White", Sear hing for Shergar" - Nominated for the Prix Europa, "Putin: A Russian Spy Story" - a three part series examining the Russian President's 20 years in power - for which I received two BAFTA nominations and "Derek" - a feature documentary with Tilda Swinton, nominated for the 'Grand Jury World Cinema Documentary Prize' at Sundance and winner at Seattle.
Other credits include; Amber: Talk - a commercial directed by auteur director Lynne Ramsay and featuring Samantha Morton.
I am also the editor of film artist Isaac Julien's multi-screen works which have been shown widely in galleries around the world. In 2001 the triptych "The Long Road to Mazatlan" , earned the Artist a Turner Prize nomination and "Western Union: Small Boats" won the award for most distinguished work at the RA Summer Show in 2017.
More recently we have collaborated on larger installations; most notably the epic nine-screen film "Ten Thousand Waves" - starring the legendary Chinese actor Maggie Cheung, which was acquired by MOMA in New York, ("I cannot get this work out of my mind." - Glenn Lowry, MOMA).
