Sami Berat Marçali

Theater director, playwright, translator, decor designer - Cinema and TV series script writer. He was born on April 14, 1987 in Mersin.
He came to Istanbul in 2005 to study Industrial Engineering at Yildiz Technical University. Sami Berat Marçali, who has been writing, directing, translating, designing and producing plays since 2010, has worked in many theaters such as ikincikat, Yan Etki, Craft, oyun atölyesi, TOY.
He founded his own theater, Plan B, in 2016.
He was accepted to the International Young Playwrights Festival with his first play "Little". His last play (YUVA) was staged for the first time at the Laguardia Performing Arts Center in New York. With the same play, Cevat Fehmi Baskut received the Playwright of the Year Award at the 22nd Afife Awards. He has been the general art director of TOY since 2018.
In addition to his theater works, Sami Berat Marçali has written the scripts of various films and TV series such as Geçen Yaz, Yakamoz, Dünyayla Benim Aramda since 2021.
