- Zhor Fassi-Fihri is an independent Moroccan producer and director, recognized for her influence in the audiovisual and film industry both in Morocco, France, and beyond.
After studying at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français and gaining formative experience at Canal+ in France, she created a news channel in Paris dedicated to Africa. Upon her return to Morocco in 2015, she founded Z Films, a company specializing in the production of fiction, series, commercials, and corporate films, collaborating with major advertisers and international producers.
Zhor co-produced and directed the feature film The Moderator, released in the United States in July 2022, starring Robert Knepper and Gary Dourdan, which addresses the issue of women's rights and sexual misconduct.
Moved by the personal story of Jérôme Cohen-Olivar, father of a teenager with severe autism, she became fully committed to producing the film Autisto, convinced that accompanying this project to support all affected families is one of her life's missions.
She also recently completed the direction and production of L'homme des signes, a film inspired by the life of painter Mehdi Qotbi, for which she co-wrote the screenplay with Jérôme Cohen-Olivar. This film brings together renowned actors such as Vincent Elbaz, Philippe Caverivière, Abderrahmane Oukour, François Berléand, Victoria Abril, Ariel Wizman, Hiba Bennani, Ayoub Abounnassr, and many others.
Passionate about promoting young talents, Zhor supports the production of a short film or music video every year. In 2024, the short film Paraboles by Hiba Baddou, which she produced, won several awards, including the Art for Change prize at the Saatchi Gallery.- IMDb mini biography by: Zhor Fassi Fihri
