Born in 1966. He holds a Master's degree in Media Arts and Practices. In his youth, he was involved in music and visual arts. Since 1996, he has worked in all aspects of cinematography, primarily as a film producer. In 1999, he was one of the founders of the Motovun Film Festival and served as its first director. In 2001, he founded the production company Propeler Film. The films he has produced have won over 200 awards worldwide. In 2003, he founded and became the director of the Zagreb Film Festival, through which, along with the other board members, he led the most significant art cinema in Croatia, Kino Europa in Zagreb, for 11 years. In 2016, they won the Europa Cinemas award for the best cinema program in Europe. He has written and directed two short fiction films and two experimental films. He is a recipient of three Grand Golden Arena awards for the best film at the national festival in Pula (in 1997, 2006, and 2018), the Grand Prix of the Croatian Film Days for the best film (2017), and the Oktavijan Award for the best minority co-production (2020). He has been awarded the Motovun municipality plaque and the Zagreb City plaque. He is a member of the European Film Academy and the Croatian Producers Association, where he served multiple terms on the Executive and Supervisory Boards and was twice its president.
