After a short conservatory training in Istanbul and Vienna, Ender Akay completed his education at The School of Audio Engineering (SAE Wien) in Austria. Besides being an award-winning composer, he has demonstrated remarkable works in different formats and content projects, with his expertise in the technical and artistic aspects of the sound mixing processes since 1993.
At the beginning of his career, he attracted attention, especially as an essential sound engineer and sound designer in the booming 90's Turkish Pop Music and Film Industry. As a result, he established his first production studio in Istanbul in 2000. After that, he developed his professional identity as a composer and began producing music for movies, commercials and TV Series. Also, he worked as an instructor at Kadir Has University, SAE Istanbul, and Digital Film Academy. "Sound Design For Film", "Pro Tools for Filmmaking", and "Radio Spot and Commercial Production" were some of the main topics of his lessons.
With almost 30 years of sound engineering and composition experience, this time, Ender Akay established his label company, Endlore Music and Sound Production, in 2020, in London, UK. As a trilingual company director, he enjoys accompanying major orchestral musicals, independent bands and theaters with his qualifications on stage and following unconventional ways with the music he composes for filmographic projects. Furthermore, in parallel with his studio projects, he works internationally as a sound engineer for interdisciplinary live performances. In addition, he produces sound and music, specializing in feature films, series, and documentaries for TV and digital platforms such as Netflix, Disney+ and ErosNow India. He offers all these services in English, German and Turkish.
