For millions, Shark Tank has always been more than just a show. It’s a stage where passion meets opportunity and where a single pitch can change everything for an entrepreneur. The same happened in Season 16 of the show as well. Just before billionaire investor Mark Cuban said goodbye to the show, a brand made a pitch that he couldn’t resist.
The name of the brand was Petite Keep, a company that created beautiful, custom keepsake trunks with the aim to hold life’s most cherished items. The Sharks were obviously intrigued by the product, with Kevin O’Leary ready to grab the opportunity. But before he could make his move, Cuban jumped him and snatched the company under his nose.

Mark Cuban is revealing why he turned down an offer to submit himself for consideration to become Kamala Harris’ running mate in her 2024 presidential campaign.
The Shark Tank star made a recent appearance on The Bulwark podcast, where host Tim Miller told him, “Somebody I kind of trust said that they asked you to send in VP vetting papers and you said, ‘No, the list would be too long.’ Is that true?”
Cuban confirmed the rumors but admitted there’s another reason he opted out of submitting himself to be Harris’ vice president.
“The second part of that, my response was I’m not very good as the number two person,” the billionaire and outspoken supporter of the Harris campaign said. “And so if the last thing we need is me telling Kamala, you know, the president that, ‘No, that’s a dumb idea.’ Right? And I’m not real...

In an alternate timeline, billionaire and investor Mark Cuban could have been Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick.
However, the Shark Tank star said he turned down an offer from the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign for vetting papers, adding that he wouldn’t be a great collaborator as the second-in-command.
“I’m not very good as the No. 2 person. And so, the last thing we need is me telling Kamala, you know, the president, that, ‘No, that’s a dumb idea,’ right? And I’m not real good at the shaking hands and kissing babies,” he told The Bulwark host Tim Miller.
When theorizing how that may or may not have changed the outcome of the 2024 presidential election, Cuban responded that it “obviously” would have given the Democratic ticket a different vibe, given the contrast he strikes with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
“My personality is completely different than Tim’s.

During a recent appearance on “The Bulwark” podcast, Mark Cuban revealed he was invited to submit himself for consideration to become former Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate in the 2024 presidential election. However, the “Shark Tank” star, an outward supporter of the Harris campaign, turned the offer down.
Interviewer Tim Miller opened the segment by prefacing that he had heard rumors at MSNBC that Cuban was tapped to join Harris on the campaign trail.
“There was some green room gossip at MSNBC,” Miller said. “I wouldn’t tell you this if it wasn’t pretty good. Somebody I kind of trust said that they asked you to send in VP vetting papers and you said, ‘No, the list would be too long.’ Is that true?”
Cuban confirmed the rumors to be true and elaborated on his decision to bow out of the race.

Kevin O’Leary isn’t pulling any punches. The $400 million investor, best known for his brutal critiques on Shark Tank, says Americans are sabotaging their own retirements. Why? Because apparently, they can’t stop overspending. He added in an interview via The Street that “spending too much is a disease. And credit card debt is a cancer.”
Moreover, he was more frustrated with how Americans treat their 401(k)s, the retirement vehicle that’s supposed to provide long-term stability. The Shark Tank judge claims that many people are clinging to fantasies like winning the lottery or getting an unexpected inheritance, rather than doing the hard math. He adds, “They’re steeped in magical thinking about money.”
To snap people back into reality, he recommends a “90-Day Number” – a basic calculation of income versus expenses across three months. If the number’s negative, he says, “You need a wake-up call.” And if it’s positive,...

On Shark Tank Season 3, Megan Cummins thought she had secured the biggest deal of her life. She pitched her soap company, You Smell Soap, and walked away with a handshake from Robert Herjavec. But what looked like a big win on TV quickly turned out to be a huge nightmare for her. Why? Because Herjavec didn’t follow up for six months.
As a show, Shark Tank gives entrepreneurs a chance to turn their dreams into real businesses – the same dream that even Cummins had when she asked for $55,000 in exchange for 30% of her company. Mark Cuban was ready to invest, but Herjavec jumped in with a better offer – more money, plus a salary. So, given the perks, she chose him. But things turned out quite different for her, as she added via Looper:

In a stunning move, the Buss family has agreed to sell a majority of the Los Angeles Lakers to Twg Global CEO Mark Walter in a deal that values the team at $10 billion.
ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, who broke the news, reports that Jeanie Buss will continue to serve as governor of the team after the sale. The governor serves as the representative for the team on the NBA’s league of governors.
Walter also owns significant stakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers MLB team, the Sparks WNBA team and Cadillac’s F1 team, among other assets. The $10 billion value is a record for an NBA team (the Boston Celtics sold earlier this year for more than $6 billion), and substantially above what most private estimates valued the team at.

To date, Jeff Probst (Survivor), Jane Lynch (Hollywood Game Night), and RuPaul Charles (RuPaul's Drag Race) are the only people to win the Best Reality Host Emmy at least twice in a row. But a fourth contender could soon be joining their esteemed list.
Alan Cumming (The Traitors) is the clear frontrunner in Gold Derby's predictions to claim his second consecutive host trophy. He also won as a producer last year when The Traitors prevailed for Best Competition Program. Cumming plays a heightened version of himself on Peacock's reality TV show, someone who oozes camp and gets excited every time a murder takes place inside his luxurious Scottish castle. Could The Traitors exist in a world without Cumming? Yes. But it wouldn't be nearly as fun. In addition to his two Emmys, the performer is also a double Tony winner for Cabaret and A Strange Loop.

George Clooney’s play Good Night, and Good Luck is set to air live on CNN this Saturday, in a move meant to spread the play’s timely message and raise the profile of Broadway.
The idea for the live broadcast originated with Clooney, who is starring in the production as legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow, and co-wrote the play. The play follows Murrow as he pursues reporting exposing the tactics of Sen. Joseph McCarthy, and stands up to pushback from McCarthy as well as CBS station heads.

Mark Cuban isn’t buying into Donald Trump’s tariff pitch, and he’s got a point. According to the Shark Tank billionaire, companies can’t just “eat the tariffs” like Trump claims, because they have shareholders to answer to. That means price hikes for customers or cutbacks across the board. Cuban points out that small businesses, in particular, get crushed by these policies, caught between rising costs and shrinking margins.
Tariffs don’t just hurt China; they hit Main Street America, too. And when panic buying and layoffs follow, it’s clear who really foots the bill.
