Derrica Barbee is a newcomer to the entertainment industry but no stranger to the world of entertainment. From a young age, Derrica has always been keen to the arts participating in theater and small scale productions from grade school through college where she majored in Film and Media Studies at Wake Forest University.
Originally hailing from North Carolina, she now resides in Los Angeles, CA and has taken the city by storm. She has made the swift transition into film and TV recently coming on as the Showrunner Executive for a new TV pilot series, Casa Grande which will be distributed later this year and has been involved in multiple projects including the sequel, California Christmas: City Lights, to the very successful A California Christmas (one of Netflix's biggest hits in 2020) and a slate of three films being released by HBO Max this year.
Although new, Derrica is focused and ready to bring life to untold stories from all backgrounds and hues to the forefront and to give a voice to the underrepresented. She will be one to watch!
