  • Founder and owner of the Markus Verlagsgesellschaft mbH Köln in 1955.
  • 1937: Issued the official guidelines for the Ministry of Press, Film and Broadcasting and other propaganda agencies, in which the content, objectives and form of their activities were prescribed and explained in detail.
  • Studied law in Kiel, Berlin and Heidelberg, Germany and awarded a PhD in law on the 19th of February, 1931, in Heidelberg, with a thesis on "The Law of the Hunting Lease in Prussia.".
  • Went into hiding, after the war, in various pseudonyms; it is alleged with the support of Western intelligence.
  • Joined the Nazi party on the 1st of November, 1931; membership number 712.249.
  • 1933: Founded the "General Association of German Anti-Communist Associations" [Gesamtverband Deutscher antikommunistischer Vereinigungen] also known as Anti-Komintern.
  • From 1933 to 1945 he worked as a high official in the Propagandaministerium [Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda] under Joseph Goebbels.
  • Received a monthly salary of $3,000 from the German Christian Democratic Party, after the war, for providing incriminating material on German communists.
  • 1939: Was responsible for the "Institute for the Study of the Jewish Question,", later renamed "Anti-Semitic Action".
  • Was responsible for the law that required Jews to wear the yellow badge [Judenstern]; a badge that helped to show and single-out those of Jewish descent.
