Biography

Lauren Darlene was born in Palo Alto, CA, and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Later in life, she moved to Atlanta, where she developed techniques progressing her career as a SAG-AFTRA Actress and in Music. Opportunities relocated Lauren back to California to continue pursuing her passion in the entertainment industry.

Lauren grew up in a musically talented industry family. At an early age, she pursued entertainment/acting. Her father was a Music Producer/Engineer for mega hip-hop rap mogul MC Hammer and was the next-door neighbor relations to all-time Rap Legend Kurtis Blow, Method Man, Red Man, and 2 Live Crew, R & B Singers Keith Washington and Debra Cox which propelled a collaboration that spans into Lauren Darlene's generation. Being raised in Motown/Detroit, Lauren's mother placed her in auditions & enrolled her in Performing Arts Schools / Duke Ellington School of Arts / and Mary Grove College, to expand, explore & develop Lauren's seed productively to mature early performing characteristics. Lauren continually auditioned and enrolled in theatrical programs performing in theatrical plays and shows that accounted for her passion and skills as an Actress and Live Hip Hop Performer.

Spreading her wings in Atlanta-GA, Lauren deep-dived studies in the acting industry with hard beginner's work, pounding the pavement at ground-zero work on many sets. That's when she began to look at things from a professional level studying how A-List actors maneuver. Branching her knowledge & experience of how to maneuver on-set, Lauren started off doing background/extra work, Stand-in Double and took on the responsibility of being a Production Assistant on a Superbowl Michelob Commerical with the tennis player Serena Williams. Lauren took her career seriously and got into acting classes at LS Acting Studios in Atlanta, GA (and Los Angeles) studying with Louis Stancil.

In 2020 Lauren booked her first Series Regular role on a web series that is now streaming on Amazon Prime called "SELF the Series." In addition, Lauren booked her first Co-Star role on the TV series Step Up on Starz Network.

In 2022 Lauren Darlene booked her second Co-Star role in the CBS network Comedy Sitcom, 5th Season, The Neighborhood, with Executive Producer Cedric The Entertainer.

Lauren also manages her own business as President & CEO, of "Not Afraid of Art LLC," to release content. She plans to add a new direction in the film and music industry with a bit of her own taste. And, managing the creativity of her business, moving the needle with new ways to socialize her company's growth as a thriving entertainment business
