Jackson Family And Crew Talk About New Cirque Du Soleil Show, 'Michael Jackson Immortal'
By Jonathan Mussman

"Michael Jackson Immortal," the latest Cirque du Soleil collaboration, had its Us premiere Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas. On hand to celebrate were a host of major celebs as well as Katherine, Tito and Jackie Jackson and Michael's kids, who got a full backstage tour prior to the performance. Katherine and the kids entered the arena to a standing ovation from the crowd. "Michael would definitely be proud," Jackie Jackson mentioned backstage following the performance. "He always loved Cirque performances, this show made the most sense for his fans," added Tito Jackson.

In questioning how much of the "This Is It" concert segments were included in "Immortal," Travis Payne, Michael's long time choreographer, added, "All of the iconic 'chunks' as we know them including 'Thriller,' 'Smooth Criminal' and some things from Dangerous were not changed and we took those moments...

Michael Jackson new album 'Immortal' released next month
Michael Jackson
A new posthumous Michael Jackson album will be released next month, it has been confirmed. Immortal will be available from November 21 and features a collection of the late star's original tracks that have been "reimagined" by musical designer Kevin Antunes. Antunes said: "Michael's legacy as the greatest entertainer of our lifetime is inspiring beyond words. From the studio to the stage, there's an undeniable integrity and resolute truth in Michael's vocal performances that are highlighted in the Immortal arrangements. "It was built with love and respect for Michael's music, his family, and his millions of fans around the world." The redesigned tracks include newly-discovered outtakes from Jackson's back catalogue, mashups and the choir that he used for his 1996 hit 'They Don't Really Care About (more)...

Michael Jackson to be 'Immortal'ized in new album
Michael Jackson
The King of Pop may have passed away in 2009, but the posthumous releases and tributes will continue as long as there's money to be made. The latest such venture is Cirque du Soleil's $57 million "Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour", a stage show that's currently touring North America. According to Reuters, Epic Records has now announced a November 21st release date for the show's soundtrack album, which will feature rejiggered versions of some of his biggest hit songs courtesy of the show's musical designer, Kevin Antunes, who was given access to Jackson's original master recordings for the project. The...

The second posthumous Michael Jackson album is slated to hit stores on November 21. But unlike last year's Michael, which featured unreleased tracks from the late pop icon, Immortal will serve as the soundtrack to the just-launched Cirque du Soleil show of the same name. The album, sorry, "musical tapestry," is entitled Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, and it will feature reworked versions of some of Jackson's most beloved hits, mash-ups and never-before-released outtakes of the late King of Pop's tunes.

Among the latter is an alternate take on the Jackson 5 staple "ABC" and a choir-assisted rendition of "They Don't Care About Us."

The visually stunning show — in the tradition of previous Cirque musicals featuring the...
