Season 3 of Xo, Kitty has wrapped production in Seoul, South Korea, and Netflix revealed the addition of three new cast members, the promotion of a recurring player as well as the appointment of a new showrunner for the upcoming installment.

Sule Thelwell (Saint X), Soy Kim and Christine Hwang (Law and Order: Svu) have joined the cast, and Hojo Shin, who plays Jiwon, has been upped to a series regular. Valentina Garza serves as showrunner for Season 3, taking over for Jessica O’Toole who oversaw Season 2.

The showrunner change is somewhat surprising as O’Toole was featured in the February renewal announcement, teasing what is to come in Season 3. Production on Xo, Kitty season 3 is believed to have started sometime in April or May 2025 in South Korea, and is also believed to still currently be underway. That means all the cast members expected to return are likely already on set. However, we've just learned that one familiar face won’t be joining them this time around.

Their character was introduced last season in the hit teen show, and they definitely weren't a fan favorite. This character caused some serious drama for Kitty (Anna Cathcart), Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), and the other main characters. It's none other than Audrey Huynh. Huynh portrayed Esther Shim/Stella Cho in Xo, Kitty season 2.

Xo, Kitty, which is a spinoff series of the popular To All The Boys I Loved Before films, is all set to release its second season soon. The romantic comedy show revolving around Kitty Covey enjoyed a lot of success just like its original adaptation series did.

All The Boys I’ve Loved Before‘s Noah Centineo reprises his role as Peter Kavinsky in season two of Netflix’s Xo, Kitty. The official trailer includes snippets with Peter, and also finds Kitty declaring she’s ready to launch Kitty 2.0.

Anna Cathcart returns to lead the cast as Kitty Song Covey. Season two also stars Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, and Regan Aliyah as Juliana. That friendly face just happens to be Noah Centineo’s Peter Kavinsky, star of Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film trilogy based on the books by Jenny Han. It’s official – Xo, Kitty has been renewed for season two. Netflix’s spinoff of the popular To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films debuted in May 2023 and immediately took over the #2 spot on the most popular English TV list.

“Xo, Kitty takes place in the same universe as To All the Boys, but it’s very much its own world. So fresh audiences can love it and then go back and watch the movies and read the books if they want,” said co-showrunner Sascha Rothchild in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum.
