Producer Savita Raj Hiremath’s 2006 Bollywood cult classic “Khosla Ka Ghosla!” is being remade in the Telugu, Marathi and Kannada languages, it was revealed on the sidelines of the Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Contents and Film Market.

Directed by Dibakar Banerjee and written by Jaideep Sahni, the Hindi-language film followed Khosla, a Delhi-based retired middle-class man who tries to get his land back from a swindling property dealer with the help of his sons and their friends.

The Kannada version will be directed by Adarsh Eshwarappa (“Shuddhi”), the Telugu version by Vinod Anantoju (“Middle Class Melodies”) and the Marathi one by Kedar Shinde (“Baipan Bhari Deva”).

Jaideep Sahni, screenwriter on acclaimed films “Chak De! India,” “Khosla Ka Ghosla,” “Company,” “Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year” and “Bunty Aur Babli” will create the next series from Yrf Entertainment, Variety understands.

Yrf Entertainment is leading Indian studio Yash Raj Films’ streaming business, which was set up in 2021 with an initial investment of $67.1 million. As revealed by Variety, Yrf Entertainment launched in Dec. 2021 with Bhopal gas tragedy series “The Railway Men,” created by Shiv Rawail.

Like Rawail, Sahni has had a long association with the studio. Besides “Chak De! A press conference was held in advance of the Gala Premiere of Shuddh Desi Romance at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11th, 2013. The press conference was moderated by Toronto producer Mohit Rajhans and attended by one of the film’s stars, Parineeti Chopra, along with director Maneesh Sharma, writer Jaideep Sahni, and Avtar Panesar, the Vice-President of International Operations for Yash Raj Films.

Mumbai, August 1: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput Thursday launched the song "Gulabi" from his forthcoming romantic comedy "Shuddh Desi Romance" and introduced his co-star and newcomer Vaani Kapoor to the media.

Composed by Sachin-Jigar, the song's lyrics are by Jaideep Sahni and it has been sung by Jigar Saraiya and Priya Saraiya. Brinda has choreographed it.

One film old, Sushant, who made a successful transition from TV to movies with "Kai Po Che!", said the film focuses on conflicts between love and commitment.

"The film's story is about three youngsters, who listen to their hearts. They have their own ideas.

As announced earlier, Yrf’s Shuddh Desi Romance has been invited to the Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff) for a Gala Red Carpet premiere, which takes place on the 11th of Sept. New Delhi, July 25: Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput's "Shuddh Desi Romance" is heading to 'videshi' shores for a Gala Red Carpet Premiere at the esteemed Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff) 2013.

The screening, to be held Sep 11, will be attended by director Maneesh Sharma and writer Jaideep Sahni, along with Sushant, Parineeti and debutant Vaani Kapoor. It will take place at the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.

After the cool and vibrant buzz created by the teaser trailers, the eagerly awaited Theatrical Trailer of Yash Raj Films’ next Shuddh Desi Romance was launched last week at a unique event in the pink city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. As the movie is based in Jaipur it was decided that the movie’s first look launch would take place in Jaipur.

The trailer was launched at the heritage and iconic Raj Mandir Cinema Hall in Jaipur, with the leading stars of the film Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra, who reminisced about the wonderful time they had in the city while shooting the film.
