Wistoria: Wand and Sword makes use of its school setting in a variety of ways. Not only does being in a school shape Will Serfort's relationships with his peers and teachers, but it also provides an straightforward path for him to achieve his goals. In order to become a Magia Vander, Will needs to get enough credits to move to the Upper Academy in the Mercedes Caulis before his sixth and final year at Regarden Magical Academy is up. This goal is shaped by the fact that Will cannot perform magic, so his methods for getting credits are limited and require perfection. One of the ways that students can gain credits is by defeating monsters in the dungeon. During a student's last year, they can take part in the All Student Praxis, an event arranged so students can fight monsters.

Ahead of a July 2024 premiere, the upcoming Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime today unveiled an action visual for Sion Ulter, a fellow student at Ligarden Magic Academy with a superiority complex, and announced comedy group Party-chan as a promotional ambassador for the series. Members will appear alongside with cast members at an advance screening event taking place on June 20 at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo. Wistoria: Wand and Sword , an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy manga of the same name, has revealed a trio of new cast members for the series, which will broadcast in Japan beginning in July 2024. The new cast members include: Colette Loire voiced by Satomi Amano (Misa Farrengram in Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear ) Colette Loire and Satomi Amano Zion Alster voiced by Masaaki Mizunaka (Challe Fen Challe in Sugar Apple Fairy Tale ) Zion Alster and Masaaki Mizunaka Kiki voiced by Aoi Inase (Oshiro in The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today ) Kiki and Aoi Inase The original Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga is written by Fujino Omori, illustrated by Toshi Aoi, and serialized in Japan by Kodansha in their Bessatsu Shonen Magazine publication. An English language version is also available from Kodansha USA. Tatsuya Yoshihara writes and directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures.
