RYAN BARTON-GRIMLEY or "RBG" as his colleagues refer to him, is an award-winning director, writer, producer and actor who is originally from Harare, Zimbabwe. A graduate of UCLA, RBG began his career as an actor, with starring roles in indie feature films TROPIX, NOW & NEVER and too many grad films to mention, as well as, supporting roles in CRIMINAL MINDS and THE PRICE OF LOVE. Frustrated with a lack of creative control, RBG dove into writing and directing with the internationally acclaimed home invasion thriller... THE TRUTH, starring John Heard, Brendan Sexton III, Erin Cardillo and Daniel Baldwin, distributed worldwide by Warner Brothers, Netflix, Gravitas and Showtime. Fresh off that success, RBG starred in and produced Douglas Mueller's debut feature film drama about stolen valor... REPATRIATION, as well as, wrote, directed and starred in the festival darling... ELIJAH'S ASHES... a dark comedy about brotherly love and homophobia. Both films had healthy festival runs, won tons of awards and were distributed worldwide. A life-long fan of horror, RBG next took on the task of writing, producing, directing and starring in his fourth feature film, the 80's inspired horror-comedy HAWK & REV: VAMPIRE SLAYERS. World Premiering in 2020 at DANCES WITH FILMS despite Covid19, Hawk & Rev played 30+ horror and traditional film festivals worldwide, won a ton of awards and was distributed worldwide by Freestyle Releasing in 2021, with write-ups in Bloody Disgusting, Rue Morgue and a Rotten Tomato score of 83%. Currently, RBG is in post-production on LISTEN CAREFULLY... a psychological horror feature film he wrote, directed and stars in. He claims this next film will...
