New Delhi, May 10 (Ians) India’s Ruhaan Alva grabbed his maiden podium in the GB4 single-seater championship last weekend with a second-place finish in the series second round at England’s Silverstone race circuit.

The 16-year-old, who is a part of the Jk Tyre scholarship programme, crossed the line less than a second behind winner Harri Reynolds with Tom Mills third.

Alva, who drives for Fortec Motorsports, took his rostrum result in the third race of the weekend. He had started from pole but contact with Sid Smith robbed him of momentum giving Reynolds a sniff at the lead.

Alva defended robustly against Reynolds, going wheel to wheel with the Elite Motorsport racer, through the high-speed Maggots and Becketts complex of corners. But the young Indian ultimately had to concede as Reynolds swept past at Vale.

New Delhi, April 6 (Ians) India’s Ruhaan Alva is set to race in 2023 GB4 Championship which gets underway this weekend at Oulton Park in England.

Ruhaan, the young 16 year old racing prodigy, has had a dream run in his racing career with four National Titles and multiple club titles, a total of 7 titles under his belt already.

In 2021, he won 4 Championships in India at a very young age of 15 years. The young boy from Bengaluru, has already represented the country on several

international platforms like the Rotax Grand Finals in Bahrain in 2021, Ferrari Driver Academy Asia Pacific selection program and the World Motorsport Games in F4 – 2022.

Jk Tyre Motorsport, known for nurturing motorsport talent from India for over four decades, inducted Ruhaan in their scholarship program last year and his next big international outing will be for the 2023 GB4 Championship. The Championship is an extremely competitive single seater motorsport series based in the United Kingdom.
