  • Husband name is Syed Fahd, Asad Mumtaz.
  • After she moved to the US she continued her association with the performing arts. In 1984 she participated in the grand Festival of India in New York, where Vijaya Mehta directed a play on women heroes. Later she collaborated on a community service film with an organization named Sakhi that creates awareness about domestic abuse. It was a small film for which Zakir Hussain had donated the music. It tells you how abuse is not merely physical, it extends to verbal and mental cruelty which are things you do not see.'.
