Howard Li is a Toronto-based actor, director, and producer with a BA in Performing Arts and an MFA in Film Production. Fluent in English and Mandarin, he has worked across North America and Asia in theatre, TV, film, and commercials. In 2023, Howard produced and starred in the independent feature film Fresh Off Markham. The film premised at the 48th Hong Kong International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Firebird Award in the New Talent Competition (Chinese Language). It was also an official selection at the 14th Beijing International Film Festival, the 28th Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, and the 2024 Odyssey Film Festival, where it served as the closing film in competition. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in Cineplex in January 2025. He has helmed several short films and commercials, blending creativity with technical expertise. He has also collaborated with top brands like PUBG MOBILE, Canada Life Assurance Company, Huawei, and Powerade, showcasing his versatility on-screen and behind the camera.
