Over the past decade or so, reboots and revivals have become a major source of contention among consumers. More and more networks and streamers began rolling out updated iterations of past favorites, whether it was Netflix getting the Tanner family back together for Fuller House or The CW reimagining 1980s primetime soap Dynasty through a modern lens.

The success of reboots and revivals wasn't always a given, even if established IP seems like a safe bet for a slam dunk. While the craze has slowed down ever so slightly, there have still been plenty of returns, like sitcom revivals Will & Grace, Frasier, Roseanne, Night Court, and Mad About You, drama reboots like Charmed, Bel-Air, Gossip Girl, and Magnum P.I.

Season 26 of The Voice drew to a close on Tuesday (December 10), and in addition to a history-making winner, newbie coach Michael Bublé was victorious in his first season.

This particular season of The Voice featured two very well-liked new coaches, and in addition to Michael, beloved hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg debuted in one of the four swiveling judges' chairs.

At the end of the two-hour finale, Michael's protégé, Sofronio Vasquez, took the top spot — which comes with a $100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Music Group (Umg).

We noticed a bit of accidental foreshadowing in our coverage ahead of the very first episode of The Voice's Season 26, where Sofronio's performance and Snoop's reaction to it were notable highlights.

When he first met with Nickel Boys director RaMell Ross, cinematographer Jomo Fray was excited by the challenge of filming from a character’s perspective. “It was a completely different experience to anything I’ve ever shot,” says Fray. “As the cinematographer, you have to be present to the scene in a completely different way.”

The 36-year-old Dancing With the Stars co-host was seen having dinner with Tanner Courtad on Thursday night (December 5) at the Sportsman’s Lodge shopping center in Studio City, Calif.

Julianne and Tanner were both dressed in their workout clothes while stepping out for an early evening meal with her pup.

Tanner, 31, was a contestant on Charity Lawson‘s season of The Bachelorette in 2023 and finished in fifth place. He appeared on Bachelor in Paradise later that year.

Mor Ilderton has quit The Voice and unexpectedly abandoned Gwen Stefani’s team on the final night of the Knockouts round of the competition.

On Monday night’s episode of the NBC reality competition, coach Stefani shared with Mega Mentor Sting that she only had Jan Dan and Sydney Sterlace on hear team.

“We had Mor, who I stole, but he had to go home, so it’s just gonna be the two of them,” she told the “Every Breath You Take” singer.

With Ilderton abandoning the show, Sydney made it to the Playoffs, winning the Knockouts round, and Jan was pushed through after Stefani saved them.

It’s not clear why Ilderton left Season 26 of the show, but his social media has been active promoting a new single, “Stranger,” which is set for release on Friday, November 22.

Ilderton’s exit comes a week after another contestant abandoned The Voice.

Ahead of the Knockouts stage on The Voice, Tanner Frick abandoned the competition.

On Monday’s episode of NBC’s singing competition, host Carson Daly told coach Michael Bublé his contestant had left the show.

“Michael, Tanner [Frick] left the competition after rehearsals. You still have Cameron [Wright] and Sloane [Simon],” Daly said, noting Frick had “left the competition after rehearsals.”

Frick didn’t reveal the reason for his exit but shared a video on TikTok singing and captioned the post, “Aint nobody want me anyway.”

The singer auditioned for the coaches, singing Morgan Wallen’s “Thought You Should Know,” which made the four coaches turn their chairs around. Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani were captivated by Frick’s voice and battled to have him on their team.
