Due to the popularity of the shojo subgenre, a majority of romance anime are set during high school. High school anime have storylines that capture the essence of first love and set unrealistic dating expectations on relationships.

However, there are a handful of romance anime that do capture the attention of adults. These series provide more of an emotional connection to their audience through their marriage storylines and relatable adult characters who struggle with work-life balance. Sometimes, a good romance that truly speaks to the viewer's real life situations can be better than a similar show with high acclaim, and these shows prove just that.

The 10 Best Anime Vehicles Ever, Ranked

From the briny waters within One Piece to the vast reaches of space from Cowboy Bebop, the wide world of anime offers plenty of lands, societies and cultures, yet transportation remains a crucial need for many. The lush worldbuilding in many anime titles often require creative solutions when it comes to vehicles, with many anime series forced to think outside the box when it comes to transportation.

The relative mundanity of answering the question of travel presents a unique opportunity for anime series to flex their worldbuilding muscles in answering that need, with some proving more ingenious than others. From All Might’s Hercules vehicle in My Hero Academia to Goku’s Flying Nimbus in Dragon Ball, these vehicles stand apart in terms of creativity and utility, remaining iconic to this very day.

Yakuza Fianc is the romance anime of the season, and it presents quite the questionable (yet addicting to watch) duo. New Shonen Anime Just As Good As the Classics
Image
Your browser does not support the video tag.

One of the most popular demographics in anime and manga, shonen has been responsible for some of the mediums greatest hits for many decades. Originally regarded as a manga category that targets young males as its primary demographic and caters to their interests, shonen has long transformed into a broad and diverse genre enjoyed by all ages and genders. Most of the genres classics, from action-adventure epics like One Piece to sports dramas like Hajime no Ippo, are regarded as some of animes best, most inspiring tales.

Even when anime skyrocketed in popularity internationally, shonen remained the mediums leading genre, with many of its hits from the past few decades, such as Attack on Titan and Noragami, already earning the status of modern classics. Yet, the newest generation of shonen anime might be one of the most prolific and multifaceted in the genres history.
