She was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2020 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to Critical Care particularly during Covid-19. She was Doctor and Dean of The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine in Collingham, West Yorkshire, England.
