- Prior to working as a film composer, Jojo was a guitarist for the all-female metal band Phantom Blue. She was also the first guitarist and co-founder of the all-female tribute band The Iron Maidens.
- Illusionist Criss Angel saw her while performing with Blue Man Group and recruited her to play on his touring show as guitarist/programmer/music director.
- She auditioned for the guitarist slot in Blue Man Group and landed the job after beating out other male candidates.
