The popular Indiana Fever rookie, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, is being bypassed in favor of veterans.

Reports indicate the roster will feature players A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Alyssa Thomas, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Sabrina Ionescu, Chelsea Gray and Kahleah Copper.

One test of a strong documentary is whether the subject matter could interest everyone or simply aficionados. It’s tough to imagine anybody watching “Unfinished Business” without immediately buying tickets to the next available WNBA game.

Director Alison Klayman (“Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry”) blends two approaches, offering us an introduction to the league itself as well as a closer look at the New York Liberty team. The truth is that both halves of this film deserve their own movie, but since each is equally compelling, Klayman never once loses our attention.

It certainly helps that she’s got such an extraordinary cast of participants. Wonderful interviews with legendary players like Teresa Weatherspoon, Rebecca Lobo, Crystal Robinson and Sue Wicks set the stage for a time — 1995 to be exact — when the idea of a professional women’s league was barely even a dream.

Endeavor has made an investment in BDA Sports Management, a deal that will bring BDA chief Bill Duffy into the WME Sports fold as a strategic advisor.

Duffy will remain chairman-ceo of BDA and continue to run the company that specializes in representing active and retired basketball players. Duffy is a notable figure in the sports world as the of the few longstanding Black owners of a sizable talent rep firm. BDA’s current roster of clients includes such boldface hoops players as Luka Dončić, Rj Barrett, Goran Dragić, Rajon Rondo, Myles Turner, Nikola Vucevic, Sabrina Ionescu and NBA Hall of Famers Yao Ming and Steve Nash.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. A source close to the situation described it as a “significant” investment from Endeavor.

Sabrina Ionescu just made college basketball history. The 22-year-old athlete, who plays for the University of Oregon Ducks, became the first Division I player (male or female) to reach 2,000 points, 1,000 assists and 1,000 rebounds at Monday night's game against the Stanford University Cardinals.  According to ESPN, Ionescu entered the night having already met the 2,000 points and 1,000 assists mark; however, she needed nine more rebounds to break the record.
