Andrew T. Lyall
- Actor
Andrew T. Lyall is a character actor from New Zealand, born in Livingston, Scotland. In January 2008 he and his family emigrated to New Zealand.
Andrew found his passion for performance in his teens. After graduating from Cambridge High School in 2014 he pursued a degree in Theatre Studies at The University of Waikato, beginning in 2016. Since 2015, Andrew has starred in or produced over 30 amateur/devised theatre roles in Hamilton, New Zealand, in lieu of professional training opportunities. These theatre roles varied in scope, from large scale University productions to fellow students' work exploring their studies of devised theatre, to local festival performances of Shakespeare. These experiences, coupled with his own discoveries and breakthroughs made while studying the training methods of Growtoski, Chekhov, Britton etc. fostered in Andrew an eccentric and nuanced approach to his characters, which he began applying to his first films, The Tavern (2025) and Buzz Cut (2021).
