While no recent series can compare to Demon Slayer's level of success and influence in terms of impact on the industry, this doesnt mean that viewers cant find compelling animes to watch after finishing Ufotables adaptation. Fortunately, there are several animes that not only share similar thematics with Demon Slayer but are also equally enjoyable, allowing viewers to pleasingly watch while waiting for the premiere of the anticipated Infinite Castle trilogy film.

Just like Demon Slayer's author has revealed that the story was inspired by iconic series like Bleach, Naruto, and JoJo, and fans can easily track their similarities, some animes share many elements with Koyoharu Gotouges story. One of the most popular demographics in anime and manga, shonen has been responsible for some of the mediums greatest hits for many decades. Originally regarded as a manga category that targets young males as its primary demographic and caters to their interests, shonen has long transformed into a broad and diverse genre enjoyed by all ages and genders. Most of the genres classics, from action-adventure epics like One Piece to sports dramas like Hajime no Ippo, are regarded as some of animes best, most inspiring tales.

Even when anime skyrocketed in popularity internationally, shonen remained the mediums leading genre, with many of its hits from the past few decades, such as Attack on Titan and Noragami, already earning the status of modern classics. Yet, the newest generation of shonen anime might be one of the most prolific and multifaceted in the genres history.
