    • Renee Garcia has had a remarkable journey as an award-winning Director, Producer, Writer, and Casting Director. 2024 was a milestone year for her filmmaking career, winning Best Children Short Film of the Year, Best Child Actress of the Year, and being nominated for Best Female Director of the Year, and Annual Finalist Special Jury Mention for her multi-award-winning short film, "Receding," at L.A. Live Regal Theaters in Downtown Los Angeles. "Receding," has taken the film festivals by storm with significant recognition and 44 Laurels, including winning Best Female Director for the Vesuvius Film Festival in Italy, Best Producer for the Cannes Art Film Festival and New York International Film Awards, and as a Writer, Best Original Screenplay.

      At the 2024 Chandler International Film Festival, her film "The Delicate Cycle" won Best Short Film, in which she is the Producer, Associate Director, and Casting Director. She cast Dean Norris, Jr., son of the infamous Dean Norris (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul). Renee invited Dean Norris to the world premiere at the film festival and he gladly accepted to support his son's film acting debut. The film festival also honored Dean Norris with a Career Icon Award, they celebrated together on the red carpet. Renee received two more nominations at the Chandler Film Festival for Best Woman Short for "Receding," Best Drama Short for "Immigrant Mother," starring Cristo Fernandez (Emmy-winning Ted Lasso, Venom: The Last Dance), and won in 2022 for Best International Short Film at the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards. Renee Garcia also won Best Female Director, Best Crime Drama Short, Best Woman Short, Best Actress, two Best Supporting Actor wins, and more.

      In 2023, she garnered award wins for the short films, "Our Broken Family," winning Best Producers, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, and "Unique Beauty" won Best Female Director(s), Best Short Film, and Best Ensemble Cast.

      Renee is an award-winning and accomplished Casting Director for her casting company Renee Garcia Casting, based in Los Angeles. She has worked with renowned celebrities such as Danny Trejo, Wayne Brady, Danny Glover, Dolph Lundgren, Keith David, Michael Madsen, Paul Sorvino, Ann Margret, Busy Phillips, Ron Perlman, and more names.

      Renee's Hollywood journey extends beyond filmmaking, as her path began as an actress. She notably appeared opposite Vin Diesel in the original hit franchise film, "The Fast and the Furious." playing Dom's friend and gaining the role from her personal experience in the street racing culture.
