Biography

    • Brent was an actor all through high school and made his stage debut at the Powerhouse Theatre in Vernon for two productions before moving on to work primarily in TV and Film. As Agent Frank in the Stage Comedy "Unnecessary Farce" he was part of the Best Acting Ensemble at the 2016 Ozone Festival.

This led to his first on-screen role as Harold, the man beneath the Scarecrow Mask in the aptly-titled Horror Short "Scarecrow". He may or may not have two confirmed on-screen kills. It won second-best film at Horrorfest 2018.

He reprised his role as Harold Whitaker in the feature film "Ride of the Night", which included a lead role in the short story "The Curse of Harold", in which we learn about the Scarecrow's backstory and his relationship with his villainous wife, Melna. This led to the formation of Little Red Hen Studios; of which Brent is a founding member.

After a series of acting workshops and scene study classes with Matthew Harrison of the Actor's Foundry in Vancouver, (and Cape Town, South Africa), Brent can now lay claim to several on-screen acting credits and various roles as an actor/producer/production manager and a few forays into catering!

His career highlights so far would be winning the 48 Hour Film Project - Okanagan with the short film "It's Not All Right". He was the Executive Producer with support from his studio "Little Red Hen" and this short film won the Audience Choice, Best Film, Best Acting and Best Use of Prop Awards along with six (6) other nominations and represented the Okanagan in Filmapalooza March 2024 in Lisbon Portugal.

This success was followed up with another Best Film Award for "Dinner Reservations", a Dramedy and winner of the Snakebite Film Festival Five-Day Film Contest.

As an actor he'd ideally play roles as early to mid 40s, hedging on 50
