Born in San Francisco and raised in Oakland, Trevorrow made his directorial debut with Sundance hit "Safety Not Guaranteed", written by fellow NYU alum Derek Connolly. Trevorrow went on to relaunch the Jurassic Park franchise in 2015 with "Jurassic World". He co-wrote and executive produced the 2018 sequel, "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom", before returning to direct 2022's "Jurassic World Dominion". At a total of $4B in box office, his Jurassic World films are one of only three franchise trilogies to consecutively gross over $1 billion each. Trevorrow's production company, Metronome Film Co., produces upcoming filmmakers along with his own projects, including 2025's hit crime comedy "Deep Cover".
