Matthew graduated from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, where he worked on a variety of films, including the feature film 'The Hanged', which he directed before the age of 21.
Since then, he has worked on a range of projects, including multiple award-winning fictional and documentary shorts. His solo directorial debut 'The Last Sunset', garnered him an award for Best Short Film, as well as five official selections, including screenings at both London and Manchester Lift-Off Film Festivals.
He recently featured in an article by the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC), for his latest documentary 'How to Build a Life', executively produced by Northern Heart Films and supported by Creative Lancashire, Wigan Council and Leigh Film Factory.
