Biography

Jay Ruggiano [Napoli, 7/12/2000] is an italian actor, writer and director. He started his acting career at the age of 5. He studied at the Dramatic Arts Academy since 2011, when he became a member of the professional theatre company "Tabula Risa". In 2014 he became a member of the theatre company "E Frate Piccerilli"; he will work with the company until 2018. Since 2016 he is a student at the Academy of Theatre Arts Teatro Totò, one of the most popular in Naples. In 2019 he made his debut in cinema with his short film "Scenario", which won many awards around the globe, including the award for Best Time Director to Jay. The film will be sold to Amazon Prime Video, then. In 2020 he writes and directs "Quentin Quarantena", a short film documenting his quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic, with whom we won free-access to study at the Cinema School in Naples as a student of Filmmaking and Directing.
