Born in Brasov in Romania, he graduated from the Brasov Folk Art School, in the theater class of Professor Ion Jugureanu and in 1995 he graduated from the Institute of Theater Art and Cinematography in Bucharest. Butuc worked as actor in supporting roles in movies as: action movie 7 secondes (2005) with Wesley Snipes, horror film La Crypte (2005) co-star Morris Chesnut, comedy movie Funny Money (2006) with Chevy Chase, action movie L'Affaire CIA (2006) alongside Steven Seagal, drama film L'homme sans âge (2007), with Tim Roth, TV Movie Anaconda 4: sur la piste du sang (2009) with Linden Ashby, history movie Barberousse, l'empereur de la mort (2009) with Rutger Hauer, action movie Bunraku (2010) with Demi Moore and many others films; in addition to this he is an appreciated musician and singer in Romania.
