Per Deadline, Stahelski has officially signed on to produce the Sifu movie under his production banner 87Eleven Entertainment. The stuntman-turned-filmmaker is best known for directing all four movies of the Keanu Reeves-led action thriller franchise, including 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4. Stahelski is no stranger to video game adaptations, after previously serving as a second-unit director in 2015’s Hitman: Agent 47 movie. Besides Sifu, he is also currently attached to helm and produce Sony Pictures’ Ghost of Tsushima movie, based on the 2020 action-adventure game from Sucker Punch Productions.

Tim Miller admitted Season 1 merely scratched the surface of Secret Level's potential. Fan-favorite video game IPs like Warhammer 40k, Mega Man, and Dungeons & Dragons were featured, but Miller has plenty more games on his wish list. "We could get ten seasons out of it," he told The Direct. "And that's just all games that we generally--it's not like you're scraping the barrel. It's just games that you'd really love to see." Armored Core fans were in for a special treat with Secret Level's 13th episode; Keanu Reeves channeled both Johnny Mnemonic and Neo in "Armored Core: Asset Management", a 14-minute animated short about a mech pilot with questionable motivations. Staging fast-paced mech fights against the backdrop of a dystopian, alien world, the episode was also defined by Reeves' hyperreal semblance and his stoic, John Wick voice. Speaking to The Wrap, executive producer Dave Wilson said he thought Reeves would exit the project at one point; the actor was then scheduled for motion capture at the studio.

Secret Level creator Tim Miller said they never considered shelving the Concord episode. In an interview with The Wrap, he asserted the show was meant to transcend any controversy surrounding the video game IPs they featured. "I just wish everybody would realize that it's a bunch of artists and good people trying to make something interesting," he explained. "Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and people tend to make it some kind of personal quest, or feel like it's an affront to them personally. But they're just artists trying to do a great job, and they're super nice, and I'm sorry to see anybody fail and that that, I think it's not quite worthy of some of the toxicity around it.

Civil War is an upcoming political thriller surrounding a dystopian future America in which military-embedded journalists face to reach DC before rebel factions overtake the White House. Nick Offerman plays the Potus in the dystopian action film Civil War, but although some liken his character to Donald Trump, the actor didn’t think about him during filming.

“Honestly, no,” Offerman told Deadline during the film’s premiere. “When you see the movie, it’s so unattached to anything in modern politics, not only in our country but any country. It’s like doing a play where I’m playing a baseball player, and people say, ‘Did you ever think of your favorite team, the Cubs?’ And I say, ‘No, it’s a brilliant piece of fiction.'”

He continued, “From the get-go, it clearly wasn’t based on anything in reality, and so, that’s a distraction, and my job is to immediately say, ‘Who is this guy? And how can I best serve Alex [Garland’s] vision.'”

Episode 7 of “Ahsoka” just dropped on Disney+, and with it, a surprise guest appearance from a Star Wars legend.

The series has featured many characters familiar to franchise fans, including live-action counterparts of the title character, Ahsoka Tano and also Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, and Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Genevieve O’Reilly, who portrayed Mon Mothma in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” as well as “Andor,” reprises her role in “Ahsoka.” Mon Mothma has an important role in Episode 7, and facilitates the return of beloved franchise figure.

The episode opens with Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) on trial before a New Republic council, including Mon Mothma.

Time flies when you're having fun, and so does Ahsoka's third episode, "Time to Fly." The whole episode is almost like a feature-length dogfight with sprinkles of Jedi training, but there's still time for some good old Star Wars politics. While Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) are closing in on the Denab system, General Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is facing the political end of the issue in a meeting with Chancellor Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) and a host of New Republic Senators, one of which seems particularly determined to give Hera a hard time: Senator Hamato Xiono (Nelson Lee).

On top of being a live-action Rebels Season 5 and semi-heir to the Empire retelling, Ahsoka wants to position itself as another link between Star Wars' original series and the sequel trilogy -- a way to explore how the New Republic's filings blinded them to Imperial schemes under their watch and laid the groundwork for the First Order's rise, presumably aided in part by Grand Admiral Thrawn's return. Of course, that new war is at least a decade away, and, at just over half an hour, "Part Three: Time to Fly" struggles to convey all this detail in a neat package. But it makes up for that with some classic Star Wars dogfighting and the return of many familiar faces.

As a B-plot, the New Republic scenes only make up a fraction of "Time to Fly," but these conversations remain deliberately unnerving. Hera, now convinced that Thrawn is still alive,...

So much of Ahsoka‘s third episode feels like classic Star Wars, from Sabine’s blind training nodding back to A New Hope to the space battle that combines elements from both the Original and Prequel Trilogies for one of the best dogfights ever made for Disney+. But that doesn’t mean Ahsoka has skipped out on bringing back a bunch of stuff from Rebels this time around. In fact, one major cameo allows this Disney+ series to pick up exactly where its animated predecessor left off.

Star Wars Celebration 2023 has so far been especially exciting for fans of the animated side of the universe. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels" creator Dave Filoni was revealed to be directing a live-action "Star Wars" movie, set between the events of "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens." And while the film is still in early development, Filoni also brought a brand new trailer for his upcoming live-action series "Ahsoka," which will continue the storyline of "Star Wars Rebels."

When animated properties in the "Star Wars" universe make a jump into live-action, it tends to make big waves. Sometimes, though, those ripples into live-action can be a lot more subtle. When a show based on a character like Ahsoka Tano comes out, it's no surprise that we'll be seeing animated characters from her past adventures. Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and even Chopper...

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka debuted at the 2023 Star Wars Celebration in London. In addition to Rosario Dawson as the titular character, the teaser features many of the key players and confirmed the series will launch on Disney+ in August 2023.

The minute-and-a-half trailer offers a quick look at Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo) as Hera Syndulla, Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society) as Sabine Wren, and Rogue One‘s Genevieve O’Reilly returning as Mon Mothma. Ray Stevenson plays Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno is Shin Hati, Maurice Irvin is Senator Mawood, Jacqueline Antaramian is Senator Rodrigo, Nelson Lee is Senator Xiono, and Erica Duke is Gran Senator.

Disney+ and Lucasfilm also released a batch of photos and a new poster for the Star Wars series.

“Star Wars” fans are enjoying their first look at the latest Disney+ TV series from the franchise, with Rosario Dawson reprising the role of Ahsoka Tano, which she introduced in “The Mandalorian”.

The first trailer for “Star Wars: Ahsoka” was unveiled on Friday, April 7 at Star Wars Celebration in London.
