Born and raised in New Jersey, Matt spent most of his life dreaming of coming to Hollywood and making movies. At first Matt wanted to be an actor but turned his sites behind the camera in high school.

After high school, Matt worked to establish his production career while in college. He started as a studio technician for United Artists Cable in NJ, then became assistant manager of Transvideo Broadcast Center in NYC. He later went on to freelance for a variety of production companies, while trying to build his own, which was less than successful. In 1999, Matt took a job with JVC, which led him away from production and acting.

One of Matt's early acting roles was on a short lived cable access show called Video Bandits, which he also edited. While working on this show, Matt met Nick Taylor, who hired him to edit his film A Clown in Babylon (1999), and even cast him in a small part. Through this association with Taylor, Matt was cast in God Is on Their Side (2002), after meeting director Mark Eisenstein.

In 2002, Matt moved to California, finally realizing his lifelong dream, and remained with JVC for 2 more years. During his tenure at JVC, Matt put his film career on hold, but never lost sight of his dream. After leaving JVC, Matt decided to resurrect the dream and began taking film/TV production classes at Orange Coast College and is pursuing a degree.

Since 2004, Matt has been working steadily as an editor, camera operator, replay/VTR operator and technical director. He also landed a few small acting roles and has done some voice over work, including two animated pilots. Matt is also looking to branch off into writing and producing and is developing his animated series "Under the Freeway" for the web.
