Audiences are calling The Pope’s Exorcist starring Russell Crowe one of the scariest movies they've ever seen.
The Daily Mail reported on a range of audience reactions to Julius Avery's horror film, all of which agreed that the movie was utterly terrifying. According to one comment under the film's trailer on YouTube, The Pope's Exorcist will "give you the horror feels and not the jump scare kind which is worse. I suggest watching it during the daylight." While drawing comparisons from other horror classics, such as Exorcism of Emily Rose, another viewer said, "I'm a huge fan of horror movies but this was the only movie I had trouble with. My fingers went numb, I got horrible chills, I was sweating." This sentiment was echoed on Twitter with, "The Pope's Exorcist looking like the best exorcist horror I've ever watched since the Paranormal Activity franchise."
