Sydney Relihan an award-winning filmmaker from the Chicagoland area based in Los Angeles. While primarily a director, writer, and producer, she dabbles in film composing and cinematography, utilizing her particular skill set and confident ambition to bring cohesive visions to life. She connects most to stories exploring relationships between complex characters and their environments, often through lenses of dark comedy, coming of age, and grounded sci-fi. Rarely seeing herself in film and television, Sydney's mission is to create more diverse, authentic, and accurate LGBTQIA+, mental health, and disability representation in front of and behind the camera. Some of her recent credits include the indie pilot SEX SHOP (2022), short GOVERNMENT RAT (2024), and podcast THE PAWLYWOOD PAWDCAST (2023-). Sydney graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University with a B.A. in Performing & Media Arts and minors in Creative Writing and Psychology.
