Joseph Steven(I)

Character actor Joseph Steven has taken direction from Gore Verbinski, J.J. Abrams, Eric Idle, Iain Softley, Jim Chory, Matt Piedmont, Joe Pytka, and other film and television directors over the years. In Hollywood, his look and craft land him character roles such as Romulan, priest, rabbi, rancher, detective, perp, butler, stalker, period fathers, Frenchman, German film director, etc.

He has appeared in The Gambler with Jessica Lange, in Star Trek with Eric Bana, in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (in motion-capture), in K-PAX with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges; and on TV in Wanda at Large with Wanda Sykes, and The District (opposite Ernest Borgnine). His work in festival pieces includes Cannes' short From the Outside Looking In, and the award-winning La Première (with James Earl Jones) and The Last Days of Toussaint L'Ouverture (both, as Frenchmen [fluent]); plus, LA Shorts Festival 2013's Memoirs, and others.

Joseph hails from Chicago. His training also includes the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Columbia College, for film; and, Monkey Butler Comedy Improv, among others. The Chicago International Film Festival awarded him a filmmaker's Merit Award.

He has also modeled for renowned photographers from L.A. and New York to Paris, France. Lately, he can be seen in the Who Knew? info-fact series on Yahoo! News and Yahoo! Entertainment.
