Emilia is heading stateside for the first time!

The 28-year-old Argentine pop superstar just announced her first-ever U.S. tour dates, with tickets going on sale starting on Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m. local time at Ticketmaster.com.

Her U.S. tour debut, presented by Live Nation, will see the singer hitting New York City, Los Angeles and Miami this August and September.

The legendary music mogul hosted the Pre-grammy Gala & Grammy Salute to Industry Icons on Saturday night (February 3) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Some of the celebs who walked the red carpet included Ice Spice, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lana Del Rey.

The nominees were announced on Monday (January 22), and Maluma leads the list with 14 noms to his name, followed by Featherweight with 13, Grupo Frontera with 10 and Karol G and Feid with nine each.

The Premio Lo Nuestro winners are chosen by fan votes, recognizing 180 artists in 38 categories across the tropical, pop and Mexican music genres.

This year’s MTV EMAs sees Taylor Swift leading with seven nominations, including Best Artist, Best Song and Best Video.

Olivia Rodrigo and Sza are just behind Taylor with six noms each, with Doja Cat, Måneskin, Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj having four each.

This year’s event will be broadcast live to more than 150 countries on November 5 from the Paris Nord, the first time the ceremony has returned to Paris since 1995. The show will also be available in a number of international territories on Pluto TV and on-demand on Paramount+.

A star-studded cohort of Latin artists will head to Miami for Billboard Latin Music Week this October. On Wednesday, the outlet announced another cohort of artists to participate: DannyLux, Carin León, Ivy Queen, Fuerza Régida’s Jop, and Pedro Capó.

Young Miko is relaxing on a Saturday afternoon when I reach her on Zoom. Given that she’s about to kick off her first-ever world tour in Guatemala later that night, it’s hardly a regular Saturday, though. “I’m resting as much as I can,” says the Puerto Rican artist, 24. “I’ve been so busy that it wasn’t until two days ago that I realized I’m starting the tour.”

Since releasing her EP Trap Kitty in 2022, Miko has upended the sound of Latin trap with bouncy tracks and incomparable Spanglish lyricism.

Rauw Alejandro joined Argentine producer Bizarrap for an episode of his “Bzrp Music Sessions” YouTube series, which sees the pair collaborating on a new song.

The episode, “Rauw Alejandro: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 56,” was filmed in Biza’s recording studio and features a hook-laden electronic track. It sees Alejandro crooning about desire in a seriously sultry way: “I’m alone and you’re alone / you want to taste me and I want to eat you all.”

Rauw Alejandro may be taking the Premios Tu Música Urbano to Saturno at this year’s awards show. On Tuesday, the Latin music awards announced its list of nominations for this year, with Alejandro leading with a whooping 11 nods.

Last week, Netflix premiered the first six episodes of La Firma, the highly anticipated series in which the biggest names in urbano — and the major executives behind them — search for the next Latin superstar. Twelve hopeful artists from across Latin America and the U.S. have to impress a panel that includes Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate Rauw Alejandro, Yandel of the iconic reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel, Argentine singer Nicki Nicole, plus mega-producer Tainy and industry veteran Lex Borrero. The final winner signs a life-changing contract with Tainy and Borrero’s influential label Neon 16.

The Signing is a new competition series on Netflix that follows various artists such as Rauw Alejandro, Nicki Nicole and Lex Borrero among others.

12 contracts to enter a talent competition at the end of which only one of them will get to sign on the dotted line of a big deal. The Signing, a reality-contest about Latin music, à la American Idol, but with different protagonists, different judges and, above all, a way of doing things that’s very different to the already legendary show to which it owes a lot, but which The Signing will try to transform and reorient for a new audience.

We don’t know if these guys will make it to the Latin Grammys, but, from where we are here, we wish them all the very best successes in their careers.

The Latin Recording Academy shared its list of nominees for the 2022 Latin Grammys on Sept. 20. Bad Bunny swept the nominations, netting 10 nods overall. Christina Aguilera has always found a way to connect to her Latinx roots. The singer, who is of Ecuadorian descent, was nominated for seven Latin Grammys this year including album of the year for her new and second Spanish language album, "Aguilera," released this May. Her single "Pa Mis Muchuchas" featuring Becky G, Nicki Nicole, and Nathy Peluso is nominated for both song of the year and record of the year.
