Image Source: Amazon The Goldbergs, a hilarious and heartwarming sitcom, charmed audiences for ten seasons with its relatable portrayal of family life in the 1980s. The show, inspired by creator Adam F. Goldberg’s own childhood, offered a nostalgic trip back in time, centered around a younger version of Adam and his colorful family. A key ingredient to the show’s long-running success was Wendi McLendon-Covey’s unforgettable performance as the endearingly overbearing matriarch, Beverly Goldberg. McLendon-Covey, who now stars in the NBC comedy St. Denis Medical, found rich inspiration for her portrayal of Beverly directly from the source: Adam Goldberg’s actual mother. While the show was still in production, she shared how access to the Goldberg family’s home movies, provided by Adam himself, was instrumental in shaping her beloved character. Sitcoms help fans to see the joys in everyday life and manage to transform even the most mundane situations into bundles of laughs. A key trope that these shows often focus on is marriage and how, after all these years, couples manage to stick together no matter what. As such, these characters often give fans something to relate to and give them hope that true love really does exist.
However, while sitcom wives often showcase the brutality of being a mother and a partner, their husbands can often rub fans up the wrong way. Usually, they are lazy, argumentative, and just awful, making some fans detest them. As such, while these couples may be the stars of their respective shows, the husbands often let them down.

One of the most powerful beings in Marvel continuity, Galactus is the Devourer of Worlds - a cosmic force of destruction whose endless hunger forces him to drain the energy from populated planets. While Galactus appears human to humans, he has no 'true' form, and is actually an energy being channeled via a cosmic suit of armor made by his own hand. Despite that fact, even Galactus has relatives, with several godlike beings calling him 'brother' and even 'father.'
Born in the Sixth Cosmos (the sixth cycle of Marvel's multiverse), Galactus was originally a genius scientist known as Galan of Taa. Despite his godly transformation, some of Galan's humanity survives, meaning that not only does Galactus have family, he also has family connections.

"Stranger Things" isn't the only show keeping the fervent spirit of the '80s alive, because "The Goldbergs" acts as a giant love letter to the decade that birthed such national treasures as "ThunderCats" and "Garbage Pail Kids." Loosely based on showrunner Adam F. Goldberg's own life, the sitcom follows his family's adventures (and misadventures) in everyday scenarios that unfolded across 10 seasons between 2013 and 2023. "The Goldbergs" cast features more than a handful of recognizable names, such as Jeff Garlin and Stephen Tobolowsky, not to mention Patton Oswalt using his recognizable voice, but it's sometimes difficult to pinpoint exactly where we have seen these actors before.
Don't stress, though, since that's why we're here -- to figure out the notable shows and films where you might have seen the cast of "The Goldbergs" before. Now, that doesn't mean their entire filmographies will be covered from top to bottom, because some...

Sean Giambrone, who played a young Adam Goldberg in the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs, said he would come back for a prospective revival of the show that ran for 10 seasons between 2013 and 2023. Giambrone spoke with Screen Rant to promote Solar Opposites' Halloween Special, The Hunt for Red October, and touched on returning to the sitcom as well as how The Goldbergs handled the spooky holiday. The show, created by Adam F. Goldberg, draws on his childhood and is set in the 1980s in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
Oh, I certainly would, Giambrone said about reprising the role of Adam Goldberg. I would hop back in a heartbeat. I dont know when it would happen, or if there would be any talks about it, but they always had some cool Halloween stuff and yeah, I certainly would be back.

Over a year later, Sean Giambrone opens up about whether he would be open to stepping back in time and returning to The Goldbergs in a potential revival. Created by Adam F. Goldberg, the ABC sitcom ran for ten seasons, exploring a fictionalized retelling of Goldberg's childhood throughout the 1980s. Giambrone portrayed the young Adam, whose experiences with his family are narrated by an older Adam looking back, with Patton Oswalt taking on the voiceover role.
While speaking to Screen Rant about Solar Opposite's upcoming Halloween special, The Hunt for Brown October, Giambrone revealed that he is willing to return for The Goldbergs revival. The actor drew a connection with his upcoming project by addressing how the sitcom handled Halloween and his appreciation for the era.

ABC's The Goldbergs is a loose biographical retelling of Adam F. Goldberg's early years growing up in the 1980s here's what each character looks like compared to the real Goldberg family. From the first season of The Goldbergs, series creator, Adam F. Goldberg (who the main character is based on) cued audiences in on some of the more carefree moments of adolescence. The show even provides footage at the end of each episode, along with the occasional interview, of the true story that inspired the plot. Viewers get to see the real Goldberg family and gain insight into how the show matches the truth.
Since the real Adam Goldberg included plenty of home footage in The Goldbergs over the years, audiences can easily connect the dots between how the characters and the real Goldbergs act and react. That being said, the clips are from a 1980s camcorder in a family home,...

After a ridiculously successful first season, fans of Elsbeth are ready for the police procedural to return with more murder mayhem and hijinks.
With a Rotten Tomatoes score of ninety-four percent, the review aggregator’s consensus on the show is that “Carrie Preston’s standout character from The Good Wife makes for a great detective in this amiable and clever spinoff.”
The series has proven that The Good Wife universe has plenty of room to expand into more shows and genres. Elsbeth starkly contrasted the heavy intensity of The Good Wife and The Good Fight.
(Michael Parmelee/CBS)
It has a fun and lighter tone than its sister shows, but that doesn’t mean the creators aren’t above dropping an easter egg or two.
In fact, all of the episodic murderers for Season 1 were actors who had previously portrayed different characters in either The Good Wife or The Good Fight.

Big news for horror fans and avid followers of YouTuber Chris Stuckmann. The film critic's upcoming horror movie Shelby Oaks has just been picked up by Neon for theatrical distribution. Shelby Oaks will have its world premiere this weekend at the Fantasia Festival and is likely on track for a 2025 release in theaters.
Neon has been the talk of the town lately thanks to the huge success of recent release Longlegs, the captivating and unsettling serial killer starring Maika Monroe as an FBI agent investigating the titular murderer, played by an unrecognizable Nicolas Cage. Longlegs broke the record for the biggest opening weekend box office for original horror this year, earning $22.6 million.
According to Variety, Longlegs was made for less than $10 million and the studio used around that amount to market the film, so by my calculations that means its already broken even on its first weekend in cinemas.

Actor Paul Reiser is involved in an exciting new Aliens comic series that could potentially lead to a TV adaptation: Aliens: What If?.... The comic explores the character Carter Burke in an alternate reality, expanding the Alien universe with Xenomorph encounters reminiscent of those that would have been featured in the undeveloped Operation: Aliens cartoon. The possibility of a TV series could even delve into crossovers with other franchises like Blade Runner, creating new storytelling opportunities that wouldn't affect the main series canon.

Shaun and his best mate Ed are in trouble. They’ve discovered two zombies in their garden, and the lumbering flesh-eaters show no signs of stopping. However, Shaun and Ed have found one way of slowing the approach: throwing records.
And so, as the two zombies grow closer, Ed and Shaun rustle through the latter’s collection. “Sign o’ the Times … Purple Rain,” Ed suggests as projectiles, only to have Shaun tell him no. That is until Ed reaches a low point in Prince’s discography, the Batman soundtrack. “Throw it,” Shaun commands, striking a blow against the living dead.
The above scene is just one instance of the humor and horror that director Edgar Wright and his co-writer Simon Pegg bring to the RomZomCom Shaun of the Dead, released twenty years ago. Shaun (Pegg) and Ed (Nick Frost) spend a lot of time discussing their pop-cultural interests, even in the most dire situations.

Possessing a deadly Ovomorph, Burke may unleash an alien apocalypse on humanity as revenge for his mistreatment.
Warning: Contains Spoilers for Aliens: What If?...! While the Alien franchise famously features the dreaded Xenomorphs as the main antagonists of every story, there’s one human villain that most fans will agree is just as vile, slimy, and overall repugnant as the Xenomorphs themselves: Carter Burke. “Don’t presume you know everything.” For decades, that was actor Paul Reiser’s response whenever people would ask him about playing Burke, the Weyland-Yutani middle-manager who tried to kill the heroes of Aliens to please his bosses.
Since the release of the James Cameron classic in 1986, viewers have taken Ripley’s summation of the situation to heart. “You know, Burke, I don’t know which species is worse,” she tells him after escaping from a trap he set to infect her and the child Newt with a Xenomorph. “You don’t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage.”
And yet, almost 40 years later, Reiser still insists that Burke isn’t the villain he seems. When Den of Geek catches up with the actor and comedian, he shares his rejoinder to those who called Burke a bad guy. “You say ‘bad,’ I say ‘misunderstood.'” In a...

Unfortunately for fans of The Goldbergs, a revival of the beloved 1980s-set comedy series is reportedly not in the cards at this moment.
Speaking with Screen Rant, Wendi McLendon-Covey, who portrayed matriarch Beverly Goldberg on the show, explained that not enough time has passed for ABC or the show's creative team to even consider a possible Goldbergs revival. "Since we just ended a year ago, I would say, obviously, it's way too soon for anybody to be thinking about that," she said. "But I would work with my schmoopies again, anytime, anywhere. I love those people, I loved our crew, I loved all our writers, I loved all our executives. So, if we could get that band back together for some kind of movie or special, of course I'd do it. I'd be honored."

Marvel Comics has been publishing issues of their anthology series What If…? – which takes familiar scenarios from their comics and explores what might have happened if things had played out differently or if characters had taken different paths in life – since 1977. Now the series, which has included such titles as “What If Spider-Man Had Joined the Fantastic Four?”, “What If Thor of Asgard Had Met Conan the Barbarian?”, and “What If The Punisher’s Family Had Not Been Killed?”, is being infiltrated by the Alien franchise. Marvel gained the comic book rights to the Alien franchise when Disney acquired 20th Century Fox a few years back, and now they’re set to publish the five-issue limited series Aliens: What If…? that asks the question, “What if Carter Burke had lived?”

After the second season of the What If...? TV series premiered on Disney+, Marvel Comics is bringing their classic concept to a different franchise. The company has announced that it will publish an Aliens: What If...? comic book series later this year, providing an alternate take on the events from the Alien sequel. Written by Hans Rodionoff, Brian Volk-Weiss and Adam F. Goldberg, and illustrated by Guiu Vilanova, the book's five-issue run will follow a timeline where Carter Burke (Paul Reiser) survived the events of Aliens. In the sequel, directed by James Cameron, the character suffered an uncertain fate, but his death was eventually later confirmed in other media.

The new Muppets show is the latest in a string of cancellations at Disney+ as the streamer cuts back on original programming.
It’s a tough time to work in the TV and Film industry right now. With cancellations coming left right and centre, and still relatively few new shows announced after the conclusion of the writers and actors strikes, it looks like streamers might be looking at some of their existing programming and wondering how on earth it’s supposed to turn a profit.
The latest casualty of these tightening purse strings is The Muppets Mayhem, which won’t be renewed by Disney+ after its first season aired in May this year.
It follows Disney+ original shows National Treasure, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Willow, Big Shot and Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, all of which have been axed this year. The Spiderwick Chronicles, an upcoming adaptation of the fantasy novels...

As beloved as The Muppets are, they can’t seem to catch a break on Disney+. It was reported today that The Muppets Mayhem has been canceled by the streaming service after one season.
Developed and written by The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta, and Jeff Yorkes, The Muppets Mayhem follows “The Electric Mayhem Band — Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone and Lips on trumpet — on an epic, music-filled journey to record their first-ever studio album. With the help of a driven young music executive, Nora Singh (Lilly Singh), the old-school Muppet band comes face-to-face with the current-day music scene as they try to finally record their first studio album.“
Disney+ never revealed the ratings for The Muppets Mayhem, but it’s clear they weren’t quite what the studio had hoped.
