Edit

Biography

    • Jammes Luckett is an artist and storyteller whose talents span multiple disciplines, including songwriting, composition, producing, directing, writing, and voice acting. She has built a diverse career as a key collaborator on award-winning major and independent projects across music, film, television, technology, and advertising. After studying at Denison University and The University of Southern California, the Ohio native began her career in Los Angeles, where she later founded her creative studio and imprint, Art Mechanix.

Luckett is frequently cited for her innovative and genre-bending approach to storytelling, lending a signature stamp to projects such as the cult classic "May" (Lionsgate) and "The Woods" (Sony/MGM/UA). She has additionally licensed original music to a host of productions, including programs on MTV, Showtime Networks, and FX Networks. Her early soundtrack work led to the release of two compilations from noted soundtrack labels, including La-La Land Records and Terror Vision's double-vinyl release of the May OST, which was an official selection for Record Store Day 2022.

As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, Luckett's music is known for its infectious melodies, lush arrangements, and her abilities as a performer. She frequently writes and records under the project names Poperratic (pop/rock/alternative/post-punk), Fluxe (electronic), and has performed as a solo artist and tour support at venues such as the Glastonbury Music Festival (UK), Forum Studios (Rome), The International Pop Overthrow, and The Whisky-A-Go-Go. She has also served as a songwriting consultant, producer, and session player on numerous recordings from independent artists.

Her distinct style extends to her work as a director, writer, and producer. Notable achievements include her animated music video for "Android In Love", which was featured at the Protoclip International Festival du Clip (Paris, France) in 2012, and her narrative directorial debut, "Invitation", which earned a nomination for Best Mystery/Suspense/Thriller at the AltFF Alternative Film Festival (Toronto, Canada) in Winter 2024.

As a voice actor, Jammes' credits have included network broadcast bumpers for various shows from LMNO Productions, a principal animation role in "The Twincesses" from Six Point Harness (6PH), and promos for AB InBev.

Luckett has won solo and team awards from the Music Business Association, American Advertising Federation, RIAA, and projects she has contributed to have been featured at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, and Sitges. Her work has also been mentioned in international press, including The Los Angeles Times and Variety Magazine.
