Vijay Hazare Trophy: Uthappa, Vinod hit tons in 3rd Kerala win (Roundup)

Bengaluru, Feb 24 (Ians) In glorious form, Robin Uthappa scored his second century in three Vijay Hazare Trophy matches as the opener hammered 100 off 104 balls on Wednesday to help his adopted Kerala team to a seven-run win against the Railways in a Elite Group C encounter.

Uthappa scored 107 against Odisha and then 81 against Uttar Pradesh, both in Alur, Karnataka, and on Wednesday he helped Kerala to 351 for six wickets in 50 overs at the Just Cricket Academy Ground. Vishnu Vinod gave admirable company to Uthappa as he also scored a century and both were involved in a 193-run partnership for the opening wicket.

At No.3, Sanju Samson slammed a 29-ball 61 and down the order Vathsal Govind scored an unbeaten 46. For the Railways, Pradeep T. and captain Karn Sharma bagged two wickets apiece.

Actress Pranati Rai Prakash turns singer-composer with ‘Tera muskurana’

Mumbai, Feb 24: TV star and model Pranati Rai Prakash is set to venture into music with her debut single Tera muskurana, which is slated to release on February 25.

Pranati, who became a household name playimng the titular Binny in the comic TV series Mannphodganj Ki Binny, has not only lent her voice to the track but has also written and composed it, with Rishabh Tiwari.

"I have composed and sung my part in the music video. I started composing songs when I was 12 years old with a desire to express my emotions that were complex, larger, and beautiful and I wanted to express them better than just write in my journal. It feels great that I'm finally singing my composition for people to hear. I'm nervous and excited!" Pranati declared.

T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Kaul hat-trick helps Punjab win (Round-Up)

Bengaluru, Jan 12 (Ians) Pacer Siddhart Kaul's four-wicket haul, including a hat-trick, helped Punjab beat Karnataka comprehensively by nine wickets with more than six overs to spare in an Elite A match of the T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy here on Tuesday.

Karnataka were restricted to 125 for eight wickets as Kaul ended with the match with figures of 4/26, and Punjab's Prabhsimran Singh scored an unbeaten 89 as they chase down the target with ease. Punjab finished with 127/1 wicket in 14.4 overs.

Kaul removed Rohan Kadam, who with 32 runs was Karnataka's highest scorer, with the third delivery of the 17th over, after which he dismissed Aniruddha Joshi and Abhimanyu Mithun to complete the hat-trick.

In an Elite B game in Kolkata, Vivek Singh scored 100 not out to guide Bengal to a 16-run win against Jharkhand. His century helped Bengal to 161/6 wickets in 20 overs, and then pacer Ishan Porel bagged 3/34 to help restrict Jharkhand to 145/9 wkts in 20 overs.
