Lifetime Christmas Movie Schedule 2024 Brings Cheer

The Lifetime channel's highly anticipated annual holiday affair, It's a Wonderful Lifetime, has officially kicked off! From now until Christmas, they're airing new, original holiday movies every Saturday and Sunday night at 8pm. As we approach Thanksgiving and December, when the slowly chilled air demands sweaters and scarves, Christmas fever is sure to catch on, and it's one of the few joyous contagions. This year, Lifetime scratches that itch with their own 12 Days of Christmas (Movies). Here's a preview of their slate, and if you miss any of the films, you can watch them on Lifetime here.

While made-for-tv holiday movies have enjoyed an explosion in popularity in the past five years, they’re not a new phenomenon for Lifetime. The network has been making ripped-from-the-headlines films for three decades at this point and has the whole process down to a science: a few months for development and writing, 15 days for filming, a few weeks for post-production, and voila — a feel-good romance ready for air. In the case of “A Christmas Dance Reunion,” Covid-19 precautions meant that the production, which filmed in November 2020 at the height of the pandemic, had a little extra wiggle room. But not much.

Lifetime is ramping up its holiday movie programming. The network has announced two new movies, A Christmas Dance Reunion, which reunites High School Musical alums Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman, and Blending Christmas, starring Haylie Duff and Aaron O’Connell. Directed by Marla Sokoloff, Blending Christmas also stars Beth Broderick, Telma Hopkins, Greg Evigan and former The Brady Bunch actors Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, Susan Olsen, Jennifer Elise Cox and Robbie Rist.

In A Christmas Dance Reunion, successful attorney Lucy Mortimer (Coleman), along with her mother Virginia (Kim Roberts) return to the Winterleigh Resort to help celebrate the hotel’s final Christmas season before the resort closes its doors permanently.
