Designed by creative agency Think Why Not, the cover depicts a distraught Ram shooting at Ravaan’s Pushpak Vimaan as it speeds away into the clouds, carrying his beloved Sita. As with his earlier book covers for the Shiva Trilogy, Amish has embellished the cover of Scion of Ikshvaku with a few ancient symbols that act as clues for his millions of readers to embark on a hunt to decipher his symbolic codes and discover the rich folklore of Indian mythology. Use of Symbology has been inherent in all his covers in the Shiva Trilogy as well. For example, on the spine of The Immortals of Meluha (Book 1 of the Shiva Trilogy), he...

Manish Tiwary’s made a sparkling debut with Dil, Dosti, Etc, with his second feature Issaq, he is tackling the Bard with an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. The film stars Prateik and newcomer Amyra Dastur, along with Ravi Kishan, Vineet Singh, Neena Gupta, Makrand Deshpande and others for this ambitious film that the key themes of Shakespeare’s play but to a rustic and volatile setting in Banaras. The album brings Sachin and Jigar, Krsna, and Sachiin Gupta on board to rustle up a few gems to fit with the gritty tone of the film. The album is a real treat in that it focuses more on the unique voices of its singers, with the music adding a more complementary tone to the great songs.

Issaq Tera has been making waves over the web and during airplay, and it’s certainly one of the most romantic numbers on the album.

Eega comes to Bollywood in 3D
Sudeep, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Nani in Eega (2012)
The Telugu maverick director S S Rajmouli releases his Telugu smasher Eega in a Hindi, 3D version done specially for the Hindi release around Diwali. Interestingly, Son Of Sardaar is a remake of Rajmouli's other Telugu superhit Maryada Ramanna. So essentially Rajmouli would be competing with himself this Diwali. But the question now is, would the Rajmouli remake be able to stand up to the unexpected competition from the Rajmouli original? South's phenomenal filmmaker S S Rajmouli whose Telugu blockbusters were recently turned into Rowdy Rathore and the forthcoming Son Of Sardaar, and who refuses to be lured by lucre into making Hindi films, is all set to make a grand backdoor entry into Bollywood. The Telugu film Eega about a villainous tycoon (Kannada actor Sudeep who was seen in Ram Gopal Varma's Phook, Rann and Rakta Charitra) who kills the beloved of the girl he covets only to...

Department (2012)
Police complaint filed against Rgv
Department (2012)
Just recently we reported that filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma had landed in trouble for his film Rakht Charitra. And today we hear that a script writer has filed a police complaint against Rgv for not paying him his dues for the film Department.

The complaint states that script writer Danish Raza was contacted by Neeraj Sharma from Ramu's office around June-July 2010, to write screenplay of Department. However, despite starting and completing work on the film, he didn't got paid.

However the case doesn't end there. Apparently, Danish was later told in Feb 2011, that Department was shelved due to fund issues and that Ramu has got busy with his next project, Not A Love Story. It was then that Danish gave up on pursuing his payment and left for Delhi. But later when he saw that the promos and stills of the movie were out, he came back to Mumbai...

Rgv all set to resume productions
After a hiatus, Ram Gopal Varma would be back into the business of making films with a vengeance. He would soon be flagging off multiple films in the year 2011 where he won't necessarily be coming behind the camera as a director. "That's true, I can't sit quite for long. I have to start new productions now", confirms Ramu whose last production without him as a director was ill fated Go (2007). On the other hand, his other production Shabri is stuck in the cans for years. There was a time when Ram Gopal Varma was busy giving breaks to number of first time directors. They could have ranged from spot boys to assistant directors to writers but anyone with promise who caught fancy of Ramu had a good enough opportunity to get a film for himself. Pa Video Game Review: Fallen Earth
Platforms – Windows Xp/Vista

Developers – Fallen Earth LLC, Icarus Studios

Publisher – Fallen Earth LLC

Release – September 22, 2009

Esrb Rating – M

Price: $50 plus $15 per month subscription (first month is free)

Gameplay - 8

Graphics - 4

Sound - 3

Overall – 6

This needs to be said before anything else: this title was made by an independent developer, meaning that there were limited resources to develop this game but that doesn't mean this game is “low budget”. I'll cut them slack for being indie, but with times being on the verge of “tough”, I need to think of the potential consumer too. One of the first things I notice about any game when I first pick it up is how rough it feels around the edges. I had to wear gloves to play this. Fairly thin gloves, but gloves nonetheless. I had to remove them to type this review properly.

This is a review of the final release version of Fallen Earth.

The Real Ram Jam
Show me someone who doesn’t like Darren Aronofsky’s ode to losers The Wrestler and I’ll show you a turd in need of a superplex. My one complaint, however, is that Mickey Rourke’s Randy “The Ram” Robinson’s patented move - the Ram Jam - is in danger of eclipsing one of the great ‘70s guitar acts of all time. To that end, we present to you the according-to-wikipedia controversial (I never listened to the lyrics before) guitar hit “Black Betty” by Ram Jam. I like a band that says its own name in their songs. Rappers do that a lot, too. Added value:...
