Kanye West is having another meltdown on social media.
And this time, he seems determined to alienate his few remaining friends and supporters.
Earlier this week, Kanye went on the attack against Kim Kardashian and her family.

That same day, he released a song on which he collaborated with accused sex trafficker Diddy.
Kim was upset to learn that vocals from her 11-year-old daughter were also featured on the track.
Kanye responded by lashing out at his ex-wife and publicly sharing screenshots of her text messages.
Today, Ye expanded his focus.
He continued lashing out at Kim but he also took shots at several fellow rappers, including Tyler, the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake.

Drake’s parent label Universal Music Group has dissed the rapper in a legal response to his defamation lawsuit, claiming he turned to the courts after “[losing] a rap battle” against Kendrick Lamar.
As reported by Billboard, Universal’s attorneys called Drake’s allegations “meritless” in their motion to dismiss and alleged the lawsuit was a last-ditch effort to save face.
“Plaintiff, one of the most successful recording artists of all time, lost a rap battle that he provoked and in which he willingly participated,” the filing reads. “Instead of accepting the loss like the unbothered rap artist he often claims to be, he has sued his own record label in a misguided attempt to salve his wounds.”
In Drake’s lawsuit, he accuses Universal of having “approved, published, and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of [‘Not Like Us’] that was “intended to convey the specific, unmistakable, and false factual...

It’s taken over four years for Playboi Carti to produce the follow-up to his landscape-shifting album Whole Lotta Red. Titling its successor, Music, with devious opacity, the famously withholding rapper gives us something new for him: excess. Even though Whole Lotta Red and 2018’s Die Lit were both an hour long, they still felt focused and of a piece. Music is a good 15 minutes longer, offering 30 tracks that span myriad styles and producers. It’s messy and less cohesive than anything he’s released to date, but it also demonstrates the staggering range of mainstream rap’s most eccentric, experimental, and enigmatic auteur.
The vocal styles on display throughout are perhaps Music’s greatest asset. Carti’s vocal evolution has been the stuff of lore: He debuted a new voice on Travis Scott’s 2023 hit “Fe!n” that was shockingly deep and garbled, like he had bronchitis and was also drunk.

Another Simple Favor is Blake Lively's first film following the It Ends With Us legal drama, which is still ongoing. The movie was a sequel to the commercially successful 2018 mystery A Simple Favor, reuniting Lively with Anna Kendrick and Paul Feig.
While the film had encouraging reviews following its world premiere at the 2025 South by Southwest Film Festival, Lively can't escape controversial projects. On Mar. 13, Oscar-nominated actress Sharon Stone alleged in a comment on social media that she was cast and then removed from the sequel "for no reason at all." The director hasn't responded to the claims, but a source told People that Stone was "never cast" in the film.
"I Loved being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all Loved it," Stone wrote in the comment section of an E! News Instagram post feeding into the feud rumors between Lively and her co-star Anna Kendrick.

Sharon Stone is throwing stones at “Another Simple Favor.”
Director Paul Feig’s sequel film stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, reprising their roles from 2018’s “A Simple Favor.” However, Stone claims she, too, was part of the ensemble cast.
“I Loved being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all Loved it,” Stone wrote to an E! News Instagram reel about the film. Stone was in talks for the role that later went to Elizabeth Perkins. A source close to production confirmed that Stone was never actually cast in the film; the deal did not go through due to budget issues. IndieWire has additionally reached out to representatives for Amazon MGM Studios and Stone.
The rest of the ensemble includes Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Elena Sofia Ricci, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney.
“Another Simple Favor” premiered at SXSW as the opening night film.

Among the new faces in “Another Simple Favor,” the sequel to Paul Feig’s 2018 film starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, was apparently supposed to be Sharon Stone. But in a testy Instagram comment on Thursday, the actress said she was “removed” from the film’s cast “for no reason at all.”
In a recent reel posted by E News, the hosts debated whether there has been any tension between Kendrick and Lively, who both return for the sequel, amid Lively’s legal battles with “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni (“Another Simple Favor” director Paul Feig has denied as much).
In the comments section of the post, Stone opted to air out some frustrations, writing “I Loved being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all Loved it.”

In a rather snarky social media post, Sharon Stone has claimed that she was cast and then dropped from Paul Feig’s upcoming thriller sequel “Another Simple Favor.”
The Amazon MGM Studios film, which recently had its world premiere at SXSW and is due for release on May 1, reunites Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the lead roles. Stone had not been reported as joining the movie, but in a comment on Instagram she not only claimed that she had been cast, but she was also later — and somewhat abruptly — un-cast.

However, in light of the recent controversies surrounding Lively, many are calling for boycotting the movie altogether. Now this seems to have rubbed the movie’s director Paul Feig’s wife, Laurie Feig, the wrong way. Her reaction to this, though, has only managed to incite the masses against the whole project even more.

Paul Feig shut down rumors that Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are uncomfortable promoting “Another Simple Favor” together after a YouTuber shared a photo of the pair at SXSW.
In a post on X, Melanie King wrote that Lively was “terrified to walk the carpet” and Kendrick “never wants to work with [Lively] again.”
“Um… you’re wrong,” Feig replied.
It’s unclear why King sparked the rumor in the first place, though Lively’s bitter public feud with “It Ends With Us” might have given her some ideas. Kenrick and Lively are both at the film festival to promote “Another Simple Favor” after previously collaborating with Feig on “A Simple Favor.”

DirectorPaul Feig is doing his part to dispel rumors that Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively had a falling out during Another Simple Favor. Feig reunited the actresses for the A Simple Favor sequel, which premiered at SXSW on March 7. The director has been vocal in addressing speculation surrounding Lively's control over the film and her relationship with Kendrick, but it's not stopping social media from assuming the worst.
Most recently, Feig responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by YouTuber Melanie King. King, like many other influencers, has dissected the Justin Baldoni/Lively drama and is firmly Team Baldoni. King's post claimed that Lively was "terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again." Feig bluntly refuted this, replying, "Um… you're wrong." Acknowledging the director's response, King shared that Feig was "fighting for his life defending Blake."

Blake Lively has resurfaced on the red carpet, her luminous presence heralding the South by Southwest premiere of the keenly anticipated sequel Another Simple Favor, slated to grace Amazon Prime Video screens soon. Amidst a vortex of lawsuits, relentless legal filings, and a PR skirmish with her husband Ryan Reynolds against the multihyphenate It Ends With Us filmmaker Justin Baldoni, Lively’s career finds itself at a precarious juncture.
To enunciate it plainly, the upcoming black comedy’s successor bears a predisposition to propel Lively’s trajectory more than ever, a year after her liaisons with Baldoni precipitated an unforeseen fallout.
Co-starring Anna Kendrick, Another Simple Favor has transpired into its initial screenings, inciting a critical reaction which is neither here nor there. On Rotten Tomatoes, the thriller languishes at a tepid 72%, with 18 critics having ventured their verdicts.

Amid the ongoing controversy regarding the It Ends With Us legal drama, Blake Lively is moving forward with another project. The actress reprised her role as Emily Nelson from 2018's A Simple Favor sequel, Another Simple Favor.

Paul Feig couldn’t avoid directing a sequel forever. “A Simple Favor” grossed nearly $100 million worldwide at the box office on a $20 million budget, paving the way for “Another Simple Favor.”
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively return for more mysterious murders, but the “Glass Onion Effect” is on display for better and worse. “Another Simple Favor” isn’t as sharp or amusing a continuation, despite bolstering the ensemble and flying to an island off Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Lively and Kendrick bicker-banter without losing their chops, and wardrobe designs serve ferocious fashions, but the original film’s snarky strengths aren’t as addictive.
Writers Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis waste no time catching audiences up to speed – within a few minutes, blunt besties are sassily posing threats. Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) is touring her book “The Faceless Blonde” while Emily Nelson (Lively) is thought to be in jail but isn’t,...

Plot: Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick), who’s reinvented herself as an amateur investigator (as well as being a mommy blogger), is convinced by her old foe, Emily (Blake Lively), to attend her extravagant destination wedding in Capri.
Review: A Simple Favor was a surprisingly effective potboiler, anchored by two ace performances from Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively. Plus, it had snappy direction from Paul Feig and a tight script that somehow managed to take some vast cliches and make them feel fresh. As such, the only thing surprising about a sequel being made is that Amazon’s opting to premiere this on streaming, despite Lively’s last movie making $300 million worldwide – controversy be damned.
While not as inspired as the original and more of a retread than expected, the gorgeous scenery (well-photographed by John Schwartzman) and an especially good turn by Lively make it worthwhile. Emily Nelson is surely the best role of her career,...

If there’s one thing you should know about Anna Kendrick, it’s that she is never caught off guard. The woman could walk into a press conference full of reporters foaming at the mouth for gossip, and she’d still come out unscathed, leaving them wondering if they had just been bested in a verbal chess match they didn’t even know they were playing.
She’s not just quick-witted; she’s playing 4D chess while the rest of us are still setting up the board. It’s no surprise, then, that when reporters tried to prod her about the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuit at the premiere of Another Simple Favor, she handled it with the kind of comedic misdirection that should be framed in a museum.

2010s comedy maestro Paul Feig has famously never done a sequel, and the film he chose to make a sequel to is an unlikely choice: the modestly successful Gone Girl riff, A Simple Favor. That sequel — the moderately cleverly titled Another Simple Favor — is competently made and moderately entertaining, but loses the spark of what made the first one so special.
Another Simple Favor Review
Another Simple Favor picks up years after the first movie, as Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) has written a true crime book about her murderous ex-best friend, Emily Nelson (Blake Lively), who is released on parole and asks Stephanie to be her maid of honor in her lavish Italian wedding. And it wouldn’t be a sequel to A Simple Favor if there weren’t a mystery to solve.
Ultimately, the biggest issue with Another Simple Favor is its pacing. The first hour desperately wants to...

Before the SXSW premiere of Another Simple Favor, Paul Feig admitted that he was reluctant to make a follow-up to his campy 2018 mystery A Simple Favor. Sequels, in his and many other people’s estimation, rarely live up to the standards of their predecessors.
Unfortunately, Another Simple Favor doesn’t prove to be the exception to that rule; fortunately, though, it won’t really matter to fans of the first film. In reviving one of the more toxic friendships in recent movie history, Feig reunites two stars whose chemistry makes this twisty, often very ridiculous and sometimes trying movie more compelling.
Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reprise their roles as two women bonded at first by murder and then by other felonious activities. At the end of A Simple Favor, Emily (Lively) goes to prison and Stephanie (Kendrick) moonlights as a private detective, which makes her mommy vlog more interesting and extremely popular.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively is one of the stars who has been the topic of discussion ever since she dropped the lawsuit against her co-star Justin Baldoni and his production company in December 2024. Of course, Baldoni, who not only co-starred opposite Lively but also served as the director of the movie It Ends With Us, was not going to sit back and accept the allegations. He has since then filed a lawsuit against the New York Times, Blake Lively, and her husband Ryan Reynolds.

Like a cocktail made of ingredients that aren’t meant to go together, but that stimulate your taste buds in a just sweet-and-tart, gin-and-blood-orange enough way that you keep sipping it, “A Simple Favor” was a movie powered by its singular flavor. It started off as a bad-moms soap opera, with Anna Kendrick’s polite, perky, less-innocent-than-she-seemed Stephanie, a widowed mother who ran her own homemaking vlog, getting drawn into the web of Emily, a fellow grade-school parent who was about as maternal as Cruella de Vil, and who was played by Blake Lively in a performance of supremely entertaining nastiness.
As these two bonded over martinis and shared secrets (including the revelation that one of them was a “brother fucker” — an example of how blithe the film was about its own perversity), “A Simple Favor” morphed into a murderous noir. Yet even as the twists kept coming, the thriller...

As Blake Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni progresses, the actress recently attended the world premiere of her upcoming film, Another Simple Favor, the sequel to Paul Feig’s A Simple Favor (2018). While Blake Lively reunited with Anna Kendrick for the film, fans are fully convinced that the two actresses do not get along with each other. Now, it could be true or it could be far-fetched, but as far as Blake Lively is concerned, working with Anna Kendrick again has been nothing but great.

Another Simple Favor earned a very warm welcome from the Austin audience at the opening night of the 2025 SXSW Film and TV festival, as star Blake Lively premiered her first movie since her ongoing and well-publicized legal battle with her It Ends with Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni.
Lively was on hand at The Paramount theater, along with her co-star Anna Kendrick, director Paul Feig, and much of the rest of the film’s cast including Andrew Rannells, Elizabeth Perkins and Alex Newell.
“I love these characters so much and thought they would be so fun to revisit,” said Feig in the post-screening Q&a of making the sequel. For her part, Lively called her Simple Favor character, Emily Nelson, “My favorite character I have ever been fortunate enough to play.”

Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick, and filmmaker Paul Feig came out to support their new film, Another Simple Favor, at its premiere at the South by Southwest Film & Television Festival on Friday night.
Lively received a warm welcome at the screening, where she spoke publicly for the first time since her legal battle with It Ends With Us star and director Justin Baldoni became tabloid fodder over the last several months. Appearing under heavy security, Lively kept her remarks strictly business. “I love this character so much. It’s probably my favorite character I’ve ever been fortunate enough to play,” she said after the screening as the cast gathered onstage. “So when Paul asked us to come back, I was so excited.”
Lively has kept a low profile amid the legal drama. Her only previous public appearance of note came last month for the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special.

Anna Kendrick Offers Curious Response When Asked About Blake Lively at Another Simple Favor Premiere
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively were both in attendance for the premiere of Another Simple Favor at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival on Friday. The premiere comes amid Lively's controversy related to her legal battle with her It Ends with Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.
At the premiere, Lively was asked on the red carpet what it was like to work with Kendrick again after the two previously co-starred in the original film A Simple Favor. Lively had nothing but nice things to say about Kendrick, as seen in one video posted on X. When asked about reuniting with Kendrick, Lively said, "Oh, it's the best. I'm so happy."

Director Paul Feig's 2018 thriller "A Simple Favor" feels like it came out a lifetime ago. In some ways it did. The film, which starred Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, was a theatrical hit before the pandemic completely altered cinema as we know it. Now, it's a streaming-dominated landscape. Somewhat ironically, the prevalence of streaming has allowed Feig to reunite Kendrick and Lively for a sequel, made for a streamer, specifically Amazon Prime Video, seven years later. For both better and worse, "Another Simple Favor" is a truly decadent, far more silly, even sexier affair. In some ways, it's the perfect streaming movie.
The sequel picks up several years after the events of the first film and centers on Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick), who is unexpectedly visited by her old friend Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) after being released from prison. They reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy for Emily's...

Although it marks director Paul Feig’s first stab at a sequel, Another Simple Favor is anything but another simple attempt at cashing in on existing IP.
The SXSW 2025 opening-night film picks up five years after mommy blogger Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) exposed pal Emily Nelson’s (Blake Lively) crimes and had her sent to prison, as the mysterious fashionista is sprung from the joint. Her first order of business is inviting her frenemy to be her maid-of-honor in a Capri destination wedding to Italian heir Dante Versano (Michele Morrone). But when someone starts murdering the guests, Steph finds herself at the center of another mystery involving Emily.
Although fans of the original might be wondering how Emily could possibly convince Stephanie to endure her bridezilla whims on an island thousands of miles away, that’s quickly answered in the most Emily way possible. Not only does she promise plenty...

Blake Lively said that Another Simple Favor director Paul Feig “upped the ante” in the Amazon MGM Studios /Lionsgate sequel — and that’s keeping the spoiler at bay.
However, watching herself — a lot of herself — onscreen at the Paramount Theatre for the SXSW world premiere Friday, the actress said, “It was uncomfortable to watch in this theater.” That’s not a ding. You gotta see the movie May 1 on Prime Video to see what she’s talking about.
In Another Simple Favor, Lively’s Emily Nelson is not dead. Emily is getting married in Capri, Italy, to a glamorous, mob-tied guy. She insists that Stephanie be her maid-of-honor, or else she’ll sue her for not clearing her name and likeness,...

Paul Feig came to Austin, Texas to premiere “Another Simple Favor,” the sequel to 2018’s “A Simple Favor,” at SXSW on Friday, March 7, along with cast members Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding, Michele Morrone, Andrew Rannells, and Alex Newell. The film picks up directly where the first left off and takes viewers to Capri, Italy.

Amid ongoing legal drama over It Ends With Us, Blake Lively is moving on with her next project.
The star walked the red carpet at the 2025 SXSW premiere of Another Simple Favor in Austin, Texas on Friday, appearing alongside co-stars Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding, Michele Morrone, Bashir Salahuddin, Alex Newell and Andrew Rannells, as well as director Paul Feig.
Even before Lively arrived, though, there were reminders of her dispute with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni. A protester in front of the theater carried a sign that said, “Justice for Justin Baldoni. Blake lied.”
Kendrick stopped talking to press and walked off of the red carpet after reporters asked about releasing the film amid the lawsuit.

As the legal fight between It Ends with Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni shows no sign of letting up anytime soon, the trailer for Lively’s newest film is raising some eyebrows, specifically one line. Lively is starring alongside Anna Kendrick in Another Simple Favor, a sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor, which is debuting at South by Southwest (SXSW).

The sequel film to 2018’s A Simple Favor is set to kick off this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, which begins March 7. The 2018 film, starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, ended up earning $97.6 million globally against its $20 million budget. As the sequel, Another Simple Favor, is set to premiere, director Paul Feig, who helmed both movies, said he’s already pondering a third film.
“It would be fun,” Feig told Variety. “We’re definitely set up for one. There’s more fun stuff to be done with these characters,” he said. Feig seemingly hinted that the new movie will leave things open for a potential third installment.
In the first film, Kendrick stars as Stephanie Smothers, a single mom and vlogger living in Connecticut. Stephanie’s best friend, Emily Nelson, played by Lively, is a successful businesswoman with a glamorous life, until she mysteriously disappears. Promoting a movie during a high-profile legal battle has to be pretty difficult, but Blake Lively has found herself in that position. The actress is currently involved in a very public and ugly lawsuit against her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni, but she also has the premiere of her film, Another Simple Favor, taking place today at South by Southwest. While some may have questioned if she would attend because it may take attention away from the highly anticipated sequel, the actress will hold her head high and walk the red carpet with her fellow co-stars, according to the film's director, Paul Feig.
Per Variety, Lively will definitely be attending the premiere of Another Simple Favor at SXSW and will also walk the red carpet with the cast that includes Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding, Michelle Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins. The news was confirmed to the trade by Feig himself,...

There’s no beef between Nikki Glaser and Conan O’Brien after he reprised her Adam Sandler/Timothée Chalamet gag during his Oscars monologue. In Glaser’s original bit at the Golden Globes, she observed how the name “Chalamet” sounds like the nonsense syllables a dimwitted Sandler character would blurt. The Sandman himself punctuated her point.
The gag got such a great response that O’Brien reprised it during his Oscars monologue. The joke started with Conan roasting Sandler for wearing his usual hoodie-and-baggy-shorts ensemble to the prestigious ceremony, but it ended with Sandler bellowing another raspy “Chalamet!”
Glaser told Live With Kelly & Mark, per Deadline, that the shout was “selfishly” her favorite moment of the night. “I really loved when he was talking to Adam Sandler and then Adam Sandler ran up to Timothée Chalamet and goes, ‘Chalomeeeeet!’ That was the joke I made at the Golden Globes,” she said.

The 2025 Oscars just happened, which means the Academy has been celebrating the talents behind the success of movies for over 97 years. And like all years, this year’s award ceremony was also filled with red-carpet moments, celebrities in flashy clothes, and a humorous host.
This year’s Oscars were supposed to be one for the history books, filled with record-breaking achievements and the making of legacies. A Spanish movie, Emilia Perez, was the frontrunner for the Oscars with 13 nominations, a first in Oscar history. Even Adrian Brody made it to the list of nominations again, and as expected, he converted that nomination into a win. He even had a moment with Halle Berry, making a callback to the 2003 Oscars.
There was even a brilliant performance from The Substance actor Margaret Qualley as she paid tribute to 60 years of Bond movies. All of these moments were adding up to make the four-hour Oscars feel much shorter.

2024 was a year that Drake would probably like to forget. And thus far, 2025 is not looking much better for the Canadian hip hop legend.
Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar remains the music industry’s top story, thanks in part to Kendrick’s Super Bowl halftime show.
(Which came just one week after Kendrick picked up five Grammys for his Drake-targeted diss track “Not Like Us.”)
The humiliation continued Sunday night, as Oscars host Conan O’Brien mentioned the drama in a joke that went too far in the eyes of some viewers.

Did Conan O’ Brien make a paedophile joke about Drake at Oscars 2025? (Photo Credit – abc/Instagram)
Drake’s year, already riddled with setbacks, just took another nosedive. If anyone thought the rapper’s rough streak was behind him, the latest blow just seems to prove otherwise.
The Canadian rapper already had hit from low to low as his nemesis Kendrick Lamar’s scorching diss track ‘Not Like Us’ not only dominated the charts but also became the centerpiece of the Super Bowl halftime show, further cementing its cultural impact. Adding insult to injury, the track scooped up multiple Grammy awards, making it clear that Lamar’s words have struck a deep and lasting chord.

The rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar lit the world on fire in 2024, and while many would argue that it was already over to begin with, a stunning performance at the Super Bowl halftime show was the nail in Drake’s coffin in the eyes of many. To pour even more salt in the wound, Conan O’Brien, host of the 2025 Academy Awards, even made a joke at Drake’s expense, saying that with the show now being halfway over, it was time for Kendrick to come out and call Drake a pedophile. The Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef has been as one-sided as any hip-hop dispute ever, and this is yet another addition to tip the scale in Lamar’s favor.

After a lengthy absence, SNL regulars Kenan Thompson and Ego Nwodim brought back their memorable Mid-Day News sketch on Saturday, with host Shane Gillis joining Heidi Gardner in the awkward competition to see whether Black or white perpetrators were involved in a crime.
The bit hasn’t changed much since it first surfaced in 2019: Thompson and Nwodim play Wanu newsreaders who cheer when they learn that whites were responsible for local shootings, the bust of a local meth ring, and looters after a local wildfire. Even their “eye in the sky” traffic reporter (played by Devon Walker) couldn’t help but contain his excitement over how three of the top stories involved caucasians.
“This is looking like a sweep, y’all,” he exclaimed from his helicopter.
His joy is short-lived, however, when Gardner revealed “mayhem at a barbershop.” Thompson and Nwodim moaned as Gardner said a customer was shot...
